Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Compassionately intolerant

Please send as much 'everything is fine ~ma' our way. Bartleby ate some broken glass on the street about a half hour ago. I've fed him 16oz of canned pumpkin and am watching him like a hawk.

I don't want to stress him with a vet visit until it seems necessary. All they would do is what I'm doing, only not watching as closely as I can.

I doubt that the glass would show up on an xray anyway.

Someone dropped a jar of some sort of food and just left it on the street! I heard a crunching sound and thought he'd picked up a stick. But it was glass...unbelievable.

He had a little bit of blood in the front of his mouth, but that is gone now. No evidence of pain, so I doubt the pieces were very big.

I'm praying for the pumpkin to do its work to coat the sharp edges...and I'm desperately trying to keep from freaking out completely. Any good thoughts gratefully accepted.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

The GF had her first ultrasound today. Apparently baby gender counts as spoilers in this thread (someone should update the slug), so to avoid angering the stompies, I'll whitefont.

We're having a boy!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

A sprinkling of that patented Buffista Job-ma would be deeply appreciated for Wee Sister Jay, if you've got any going spare? She's a recent graduate and she's applying for her first ever proper grown up type job - she's succeeded in the first interview and they've invited her back for a second. (It's for a company that arranges things for people who are moving from one country to the next, and it would be based in Madrid.)

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Impress-a-client-ma requested for about 11 a.m. Texas time tomorrow.

I have a phone interview for my business. Just in time, because my contract job just gave me notice that they no longer need my services as of Feb 28.

Ta for any buffista-ma you can spare.

move out and draw fire

Job-ma and trip-ma, if you would? I've been working on lining up a job for when we return to DC this summer, and my number one choice seems to be coming through - they are going to fly me back to DC for interviews in a couple weeks.

So, I guess "Don't be so jet-lagged you hose the interviews"-ma is what I'm looking for here.
