Just talked to Emily. She's in her new place, but has no Internet. She's got her first day of classes tomorrow, so send her much luck and ~ma.

I'll be dark this week--the funeral's on Wednesday, so I'm driving out tomorrow with my uncle.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

On Saturday, I moved into my own apartment. That, in and of itself, is enough upheaval and excitement for one week.

Today, I have, finally, been made an offer to be a full-time employee as Medical Writer, Drug Safety. I've been assured this would happen for the past two months, but it's nice to see it in writing. This company has never had its own in-house medical writer. My work is revolutionary! As an employee, I would make a little bit more (let's say 9%) than I've been making as an intern, and I would get all kinds of crazy benefits like the mystifying stock options and the surreptitious free counseling.

I have until the end of the week to accept the offer. It's a tough decision, though. I mean, do I really want health insurance and vacation days?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm not sure this is really worthy of beep me, but I feel like posting it.

WE ARE OUT OF THE CAMBRIDGE APARTMENT!

Everything is out and clean and pictures are taken to show the lawyer tomorrow.

And it couldn't have been done without the help of the wonderful Somervillains. Love you guys!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Some good news to report for once: my Dad is doing well, and we took him home from the hospital this morning. He'll be going to outpatient therapy for a while during the week, but it looks like things are largely back to normal.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Little bit of kitty~ma requested. Joe just had to take Elliot to the emergency vet. Elliot found some curling ribbon somewhere and ate it, as is in a cat's nature. So come kitty~ ma and some please-don't-let-this-break-the-bank-account~ma, por favor.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

6 September, back again, tra frickin' la.

I'm spending my own personal Danger Day this year dangerously close to my own personal Ground Zero, and I'm spending it with people who were there to watch it go down, way back when.

Vibes for me getting through this without leaving early and driving off a mountain road would be appreciated. This is going to be tricky. Or, alternately, a telephone call confirming a piano.

Thanks.
