Like I need a hole in my head

If there's any spare job-ma floating around, I'd appreciate it wafting my way, thank you!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I found out last night that a good friend and person that Joe and Imoved to LA with lo these many years ago, broke his neck (c5) bouldering in Griffith Park about 2 weeks ago. The doctors are hopeful -he's off the vent, but has a trach. He's at about 80% breathing on his own. He also has some arm movement back and is getting some feeling in his legs, but is still, at this point, paralyzed from the chest down. He's in the ICU at USC Medical Center.

He's an amazing comic actor (think Chris Farley and Jim Belushi) and he has no insurance. His restaurant is having a fundraiser on the 29th for him. He is so vibrant and full of life and talented and one of the best people on the face of the earth. Please send him and spare ~ma and prayers you might have. He's got a long road ahead and every little bit helps. I really really love this guy and Joe does, too.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Since I posted about her illness here, I'll update with the news that my grandmother passed away on 9/15.

Librarian Warlord

A little ~ma for my husband and his family. His grandfather passed away late last night. We're off to Dallas for the funeral tomorrow morning, and I'll probably be dark until Thursday.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, the journal that I work on was put on the block today. Oh, sorry, a Request for Information was posted today, the information requested being, essentially, how do we punt this journal to the curb?

I have applied for, well, dozens of jobs, really, but the one that I'd give a reproductive organ to get starts reviewing applications this week. So any job ma not currently in use would be deeply appreciated.

Some of you may remember Herself. Her first novel, What Love Means To You People, is coming out soon.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

On Sunday evening, Polgara's mother, Linda Pinette, passed away in her sleep, very unexpectedly. She was a single mom who raised two amazing young women all by herself, and if I don't know what else to say.

Polgara's sister wished for flowers up to the ceiling, so if you have the means, please send a bunch.

Visiting hours between 4-8 on Wednesday, E. E. Burns & Son Funeral Home, 204 Main St., Malden, MA

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I had a second interview this morning for a job I want madly.

I'm tired of being broke. I'm tired of looking. I'm tired of this (albeit adorable) fucking pinstripe suit. Please send job~ma and tell-trudy-as-soon-as-possible~ma in whatever quantites you can muster.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Releasing the jobma to do its thing for other Buffistas. I signed an employment agreement yesterday that should keep me busy for the last few months of the year.
