Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

My future MIL is headed to the emergency room as I type. DF is on his way to meet them. I'm stuck at home minding the animals and worrying myself into a state of exhausted wakefulness. Whatever ~ma you have to spare would be greatly appreciated.

Update: Future MIL has a fibroid mass that is believed to be benign, but we won't find out until pathology takes a look at it. Surgery needs to be scheduled ASAP, but it will be less invasive than originally feared.

Thanks for the ~ma. It's some powerful stuff; as such, I'd like to hold onto some low-level vibeage until she gets a clean bill of health.

Are you ready to be strong?

As of last week my work email is out of service, since I no longer officially work at that place. Please remove that address from yr books, if applicable. And if you sent me anything at work last week (or this week) I didn't get it--can you resend to my home address, (myfirstname)@mac.com? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am internetless at home, and haven't been near a job that lets me use the computer, so I might be pretty dark for the next little while.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm leaving for the wilds of Canada tomorrow at 6 in the morning, so I should really get offline now and go to bed. (Realistically, I'll be going dark in, oh, another hour or so.)

My internet access will be nonexistent until August 1st. If you DESPERATELY need to contact me, I'll have my cell phone and will probably turn it on once a day to check messages.

[muahaha! I had a typo in this post for TEN DAYS and I just edited it out! Oh, the power!]

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

TomW and I are leaving for vacation. No internet, no phone. Pitch black. See ya in August...

Our wings are not tired

A small dose of the Buffista Job-ma would be appreciated. I've been doing some projects for The Maus and they've been going well. It looks like they are happy enough that I may be popping into the regular rotation as a Sound Designer for projects for them. I'd really like this happen. It's not full time and I have no desire for it to be. Basically it means that I'm on the list and get hired project to project. I'd really love to get an average of 1 to 2 weeks of work a month out of them.

For those who have been following it, my pregnancy saga is approaching the end phase. I'm now at nearly 36 weeks without any further incidents, which is a huge relief; the baby should now definitely be viable if she had to come out, for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, the closer we get to my due date (end of August), the more the risks increase again. So on the advice of my doctors I'm going back to hospital again for observation starting tomorrow morning. If everything continues to go according to plan, and no emergency situations arise, I'll have a scheduled c-section probably around the second week of August.

It's a brand new wing of the same hospital I was in before, opened last weekend, and theoretically with internet access, though nobody could tell us if this was actually working yet. So I may be back online, maybe not, but if I am I'll check back in and keep you posted.

Some of that patented Buffista ~ma (healthy baby ~ma, good birth ~ma, etc. etc.) in our direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Well, I'm on my way across the country to my new home in Burbank. The car is a tad full—even more so when you consider the two extremely unhappy felines in the back. 77 miles in, and we've already had to stop three times for various cat trauma. Hoping for smoother sailing for the next 3300+ miles. Safe travel and happy new life -ma would be appreciated. I don't know if I've ever been more terrified...or more excited...in my life.
