If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me
Birth, death, illness, new job, vacation...if it's happening to you and you want us to know about it, post it here. These threads are intended for announcements only. Want to offer sympathy or congratulations, or talk about anything? Take it to Natter. Any natter here will be deleted.
The rest of my (selected) photos are up: Around the World in 18 Days! Including some with Fay, and one with Billytea! (But none with John H, as we entirely forgot to take photos that evening)
In my 3 weeks of vacation I took lots of pictures since I didn't have fast internet access to amuse me.
We didn't plan on it, but we bought a camp. (vacation cottage for people from other places) It was crazy cheap for a big city girl, and in actual livable condition. eta: Camp in Adirondack mountains, Otter Lake, NY. Camp pictures: [link]
Brendon and I went on a little mini vacation with my mother and step-father to celebrate their 18th anniversary. Wine tasting in the NY wine region. Yum. Lovely Bed & Breakfast too. [link]
General pictures from our visit to my family in Otter Lake as well as the trip and stop over in Staten Island. Also features the new Holt family party boat. Whee! [link]
Enjoy the pictures, or use them as an insomnia cure, whatever.
I know I've been a pretty hardcore lurker, but I had been reading regularly. But now, I've pretty much faded to black due to workload and other life pressures. I'm not deleting my account in case things change to let me participate more than I used to, though.
Ms Havisham and I will be at the nerd prom, AKA San Diego ComicCon this week. Folks interested in meeting up email me and we will trade cell phone numbers...
EtA Argh, thought it was open. Email is CaBil@aol.com, and my profile is now open.
Hubby just went into surgery (scheduled and much looked forward to). ~ma, please, to him, Dr. Reichman and his crew, and me.
It's here! 5 countries in 11 days! I'll be going a nice shade of charcoal until the 25th, but may try to check in if internet cafes are plentiful like people say. Will return with many vacation pictures.
Au revoir!
So, the Haunted Ballad Series - Ringan, Penny et al - is adding a fourth member to the existing family: St. Martins just bought the fourth book. Working title is "Cruel Sister" - that may change, because of Stupid Publishing Tricks #3,765,902 - due out in fall 2006.
