I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Going black after tomorrow morning to visit in-laws. Before that, I'll be building Habitat houses all day. Wish me luck. (mostly for the houses, the in-laws are easy.)

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Bypass surgery for my FiL, Ms. Havisham's dad, was a success! He has gotten his knitting back and already working on his next project in the hospital. Ms H and I will probably fly back and forth on and off for the next month to Maine to help with his transition, but thanks for all the 'ma and I release most of back into the wild...

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

So, tonight I conduct crew interviews for the training film I'm directing.

I haven't directed in a really long time, and then it was theatre, not video, so I'm fighting off a mild panic attack that I'm about to be "found out" when I try to talk people into joining me on a volunteer project that will take 3-4 days out of their lives.

If you've got any "don't make an ass or an idiot of yourself"~ma laying around I'd appreciate a shot of it.

Also, "find-the-right-DP~ma" would be helpful

Ta ever so.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hi. I'm married.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

so my BIL cracked his knee bone and he fractured his elbow. Tomorrow they do an MRI - hoping that they find no soft tissue damage and therefore no need for surgery.
