Now tagless for your comfort.

'Tis very early but I'm shitty at keeping secrets.

As of this morning, it looks like Owen's going to be a big brother.

Hey. New board.

I'm now a college graduate.

It's kind of a weird feeling.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My dad had to be taken to the emergency room last night for abdominal pains and was sent home at 4:30 am on sedatives/painkillers. The tests for serious stuff all came back clear, so the doctor thinks it's probably either a pre-ulceric condition or gastritis. (Dad's high-risk for the latter between having acid reflux and taking aspirin daily.) He hadn't woken for the day as of the last update , so we don't yet know if the pain is continuing today. Any good health-ma would be greatly appreciated.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Good-parenting-ma requested. Long story short, my 16 yr old got arrested for the 3rd time yesterday. I'm so numb over it, I can barely think.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

We arrived safely in Alabama, and the visit is going well so far. We still don't have the results from the tests Dad's doctors ran last week, but while Dad is extremely frail and subdued, it still seems like he's himself and is fighting this. Annabel has really taken to him and will sit on his lap with great patience, while with anyone else she's clamoring to get down so she can be on the go.

Regardless of what happens, I expect to be a darker gray than usual this visit, because the computer is in the hottest room of the house, and y'all know well that heat and me are unmixy things.

move out and draw fire

I've got a job interview tomorrow.

I'm unclear in my own mind about it - the income won't help a lot, as I doubt they can offer me enough to cover the costs of infant day care here, but I feel like I need to keep myself in the workplace so that I don't inadvertently become a stay-at-home mom for life. And it would doubtless be good for me to interact with adults occasionally. But I really like my days playing with my baby and working on various creative projects.

However, if I have to go back to work, this job would be at or near the top of my preferred jobs list.

So, job-ma, please, in the "right thing happening" flavor.

Mostly lurking...

I think a bunch of you know that my mom was layed off in November. She's been searching ever since then. But, her severence has run out, and she really needs a job.

Last week she had a really good phone interview for a job. They called her back and actually asked her if she would be willing to interview for two different jobs...they liked her that well. So, this morning, starting at 9am, she's got 7 interviews scheduled at this company. Please send all the job~ma you have, as she is going stir crazy, etc.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Also a job-ma plea.

I have my first teaching interview in an hour, and if the money is right, I'd really like it. It's a charter school that serves mostly Hispanic kids, and it'd be great.

Thanks!
