I think a bunch of you know that my mom was layed off in November. She's been searching ever since then. But, her severence has run out, and she really needs a job.
Last week she had a really good phone interview for a job. They called her back and actually asked her if she would be willing to interview for two different jobs...they liked her that well. So, this morning, starting at 9am, she's got 7 interviews scheduled at this company. Please send all the job~ma you have, as she is going stir crazy, etc.
Also a job-ma plea.
I have my first teaching interview in an hour, and if the money is right, I'd really like it. It's a charter school that serves mostly Hispanic kids, and it'd be great.

For some reason, the USGS map is coloring the quake as having happened within the last day, instead of the last hour, as these have happened, but apparently there were a pair of 7.0 or so earthquakes off the coast of northern California.

if there's any spare health~ma lying around, could you direct it my mom's way? she went in for a mammogram about a week and a half ago. they called her yesterday and want her to come back in because they saw a "shadow" on the x-ray.
