Thrive to spite them

I'm sending my computer to be repaired tomorrow and I'm not sure when it will be back. I'll have access to email at work (although I'm trying not to use the internet at work) and at Mom's. I haven't been a terribly active poster lately but I wanted y'all to know.

Hey all

I'm sending out a job~ma request for my husband. He was fired from his job a couple of weeks ago. It took him completely by surprise. He has been working hard to find something else, but so far no leads. With both him and my mom out of work, life is getting pretty challenging.

Oh, and a touch of health~ma for K-bug would not go amiss. She broke her left pinkie last Thursday at softball practice and we see the orthopedist today.

I'm getting the pig!

Posting on behalf of sj:

While at a poetry reading tonight, sj experienced an attack of blurred vision and was taken to the emergency room. She's about to be seen by the doctor and would appreciate any spare health~ma that people have to spare.

Thank you, in advance!!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Just checking in to say I a fine. The doctors think I had an occular migraine, and that it is nothing to worry about unless it happens again, in which case I should see my eye doctor. Thanks for the ~ma.

My baby nephew is having his pre-op tests today. They are making the final decisions about heart surgery, which is supposed to happen early next week. Any spare ~ma would be appreciated.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have an audition for a paid acting gig tonight.

I haven't auditioned in I don't know how long.

I am scared right out of my khakis and poncho.

Requesting the -ma for around 7pm PST.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Healthma requested for my dad, who's had three TIA's (transient ischemic attacks--sort of like a mini-stroke that doesn't leave lasting damage but can be a precursor of worse things) in the past three days. He's in the hospital and will be at least through Monday. It's probably being caused by leftover damage from the heart attack he had back in 1991 (and I know that description doesn't make sense, but I heard this from my brother who heard it from my aunt, so I'm working through some filters here), but there's a tiny chance it could be a brain tumor. So he's being looked over by cardiologists, neurologists, and oncologists at this point.

Our wings are not tired

I need to request some heavy duty ~ma for a very dear friend of mine. She has to fly out to FL to be with her family. Her dad is in the midst of chemo treatment and is now in the ICU and they are having problems stabilizing him. He may not make it through the next few days. I've spent the last few hours with her and feel horrible that I get on a plane out of town first thing in the morning. So yeah, ~ma for her, and for her Dad and her family.

All is well that ends in pizza.

My nephew Chris may be rotating stateside. His unit was moved to Kuwait on Thursday, so he's out of Bagdad. Requesting any residual low-level ~ma to be refreshed to return him (and others) home.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
