I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Dec 25!

I have a rather random request. My mother is having to survive on a liquid/mushy diet (nothing that needs chewing) while she recovers from some recent surgery. We're looking to expand the variety of what we can offer her and hopefully keep her from losing too much weight. Do any of you have recipies for soups, etc. that you'd be willing to share? Profile addy would be wonderful.

Thanks!

edit - Mom is rapidly improving and is able to eat many more "real" food items than she could just a couple of days ago, so I think we're all good. Thanks to all who responded, it was much appreciated!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

At 4 am this morning, in Calvary Hospital, my mother passed away. She was able to enjoy Christmas Day with all her children, but took ill the next day and deteriorated from there.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I have a three-week contract customer service job coming January 10th. It's something, but please keep up the ~ma for better work, as I need a bit better.

Meanwhile, Wooo! Something, at least.

Job~ma for my husband, please. He has an interview tomorrow at 4 PM board time, which is his third since getting laid off two and a half years ago. It's not what he used to be doing, but what he did makes him a good candidate for it. They have to fill the position by Friday, too, so this one's going to move fast.

OK, I have a favor to ask of someone...I'm doing a performance next Wednesday, and have decided I really need to do it in a corset. Sadly, though I've been nosing around Meschantes and ebay, I don't yet own one!! But I know a lot of Buffistas do. I'm willing to pay for shipping and a "rental" fee (and promise to send it back quickly!), would anyone be willing to loan one to me? I'm about a 12, an overbust would be best, but I'm willing to work with what anyone is willing to loan...help! Email me at yahoo, mearagirl, if you could help a girl out...

(Edit: And becuase Buffistas rock in precisely that fashion, I had three offers within minutes! Thanks guys!)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Apartment~ma, please. I received a notice yesterday that the new owners of my apartment building are adding $400 to my rent on February 1st. I have until January 31st to move.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

For those who were worried about Polter-Cow, I just wanted to let you know that his auto-email response says this:

I am currently in India, and I will return to Ann Arbor on January 10.
The likelihood of my seeing your e-mail before then is slim, since the
last time I was there, they didn't even have toilets.

I believe our favorite tag-catcher was only in the northern part of India, but it's a little nerve-wracking to not know for sure. I just wanted to let everyone know that he's expected back on the 10th. Safety-ma to him and to his family, please...

The job~ma of Buffistas is strong, but my DH had to turn down the job offer he got at the end of the interview. The hours they wanted him to work were obscenely bad.

Better luck next time, eh?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Requesting some of that powerful Buffista ~ma for my mom, who had emergency surgery on Christmas, and for my sister and me, as we deal with the fallout. 2005 will not be a peaceful year, I suspect.
