Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

If you haven't already noticed, I'm going grey to completely dark for a while, starting last week. I have no idea when I'm going to emerge into the sunshine again, so don't forget me.

Profile addy is good, if anyone needs me or wants to make sure I'm alive.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hey, that -ma is pretty good stuff. The niece went in, they put her out, jiggled her arm around a little, and got it set without surgery. She's casted up and hopefully will heal nicely. Thanks!

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

I'm in my new house. Tired but happy.

Releasing the ma back into circulation.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm off (or anyways off-ish, pending finally finishing all the packing and running around the house like Mike the Headless Chicken) to the ever-charming Charlotte NC for the US Fencing Association Summer Nationals.

No, we don't have a Winter Nationals. We're just a little odd.

If you're tempted, you can hunt for Division III Women's Saber results at USfencing.org -- but if past years are any indication, they'll get around to posting last weekend's results sometime in October. More to the point, I'll try to check in with an update or two here and in LJ, but other than that, I'm dark until the weekend.

Wish me luck, and I'll see y'all when I get back!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm up for my one year review this week, where they decide my raise, and BF is right now out interviewing for a job. He's been out of work and looking since January 1st. Wish us both ma, we could definitely use it!

The ma, she is powerful stuff. The BF got the job! He is going to be working at a small production company which does a cable show about cars and motorcycles ("Life in the Fast Lane" on Fine Living Network) . He's be pitching. writing, shooting and editing segments and getting all the production experience he needs, plus getting to travel to all kinds of cool locations and drive cool cars. It's a small place, so there is lots of room for him to develop ideas and maybe even shows. Money is not a lot, but we don't need much. We're both tickled to death. Yahoo!!!

Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

Since a batch of you have emailed me in the past using my profile addy, I figured I should note that said address has changed from gasconne at yahoo dot com to lysana at gmail dot com (yes, I am a sheep). If you all could change your address books, I'd appreciate it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Thanks for all the -ma. Of my two suddenly sacked friends, the one who's a single mother and was in the worst straits now has her job back. I don't know about the other lass, and I'm not very optimistic, but hopefully she'll either be re-hired or find something better. I return half the -ma with interest, but retain some of it on behalf of my other mate.
