Hey. New board.

Hey.

Would greatly appreciate all the homework~ma you people on summer vacation (and, for that matter, you people who aren't students) don't currently need.

(Says Mr. "I've put about 15 hours of work (so far) into ONE of four problem sets I have to do for this class by next Wednesday. And don't know how close I am to finishing." NovaChild)

move out and draw fire

Once again, Buffista ~ma proves its power. Within a couple hours of asking for it, Grampa was in the hospital being treated for dehydration, a hernia, and general crankiness. Now we can move to the next step of caring for him.

Thank you all! Releasing ~ma back to become exam~ma and homework~ma and whatever else is needed!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Requesting some serious job-vibeage at half past one PST today. Nic has a phone interview, and we need it. Hoo boy, do we need it.

Another social casualty...

I apologize if this is seen as soliciting, and I ask the Stompies to please delete if it goes over the line.

I recently started working for a staffing firm in Orlando, Fl. It is an employer-pays firm, so people looking for jobs pay nothing.

If you are, or know anyone who is, looking for a job in Florida, please feel free to send your resume to me. We primarily staff professional and technical positions, and I can't promise that we will have any openings in your field, but I will do what I can to help. You can contact me at my work addy at kgessner at synerfac dot com.

I have been the recipient of much-needed job-ma on occasion, and, now that I am in a position to actually help, I would like to. (Also, we can help if you are an employer looking for good candidates.)

I apologize again if this steps over the line.

Requesting vibe-ma of a different sort.

For those of you in the livejournal community who are friends with Selena Ullrich (kitsune76 on lj), we're just heard that she was taken to Worthington Hospital in the UK, after developing massive bruises and bleeding. She's been diagnosed with acute leukemia, and begins chemo almost immediately.

Selena's a brilliant girl, a superbly warmhearted human being, and an obsessive Buffy fan, even though she's not an official visitor to this board.

Some cosmic goodness her way would be of the good. Thanks.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Interview in 15 minutes. Wish me luck.

House was struck by lightning. Minor structural damage, major electronic equipment damage. I only have Internet access at work until I make some computer repairs, and that's sketchy at best.

If you need to reach me, profile address is good, although it may take me awhile to read any e-mail.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Perhaps you'd better not write the Draco/Neville after all, shrift.

Anyway-- what I really came in here to say was: two exams (just one subject, two papers) tomorrow afternoon, 1pm BST. Any exam-ma you happen to have spare, I could find a good use for. Thanks.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Well, I just got laid off today. Not much else to say at this point, really.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'll have to post and run. Just heard from the doctor--my mom's ovarian tumor was benign, but she did have uterine cancer. It's clear cell carcinoma, a very aggressive form, so her Doc said it was "fortuitous" that they caught it this early. He is pretty certain it was confined to her uterus, but because it is such an aggressive form of cancer, she has to have a PET scan and--even if it was all caught--six rounds of chemo. He says this is a less-horrible form of chemo and it will leave her tired and somewhat nauseated and maybe losing some hair, but not horribly sick. Let's all hope that it DIDN"T spread outside the uterus, which would make her 5-year survival rate hugely more optimistic. Gotta sign off, as the phone is needed. Miss you guys!!!!! I'll be home tomorrow and catch up.
