Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Interview in 15 minutes. Wish me luck.

House was struck by lightning. Minor structural damage, major electronic equipment damage. I only have Internet access at work until I make some computer repairs, and that's sketchy at best.

If you need to reach me, profile address is good, although it may take me awhile to read any e-mail.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Perhaps you'd better not write the Draco/Neville after all, shrift.

Anyway-- what I really came in here to say was: two exams (just one subject, two papers) tomorrow afternoon, 1pm BST. Any exam-ma you happen to have spare, I could find a good use for. Thanks.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Well, I just got laid off today. Not much else to say at this point, really.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'll have to post and run. Just heard from the doctor--my mom's ovarian tumor was benign, but she did have uterine cancer. It's clear cell carcinoma, a very aggressive form, so her Doc said it was "fortuitous" that they caught it this early. He is pretty certain it was confined to her uterus, but because it is such an aggressive form of cancer, she has to have a PET scan and--even if it was all caught--six rounds of chemo. He says this is a less-horrible form of chemo and it will leave her tired and somewhat nauseated and maybe losing some hair, but not horribly sick. Let's all hope that it DIDN"T spread outside the uterus, which would make her 5-year survival rate hugely more optimistic. Gotta sign off, as the phone is needed. Miss you guys!!!!! I'll be home tomorrow and catch up.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Going dark for a long weekend as we take Owen to his first family reunion. My mother's side. The crazy side. But they're great cooks.

Is there such thing as easy-travel-with-an-infant-ma?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

There's been a lot of turnover recently at my second job, and last night I was questioned about my interest in a promotion. This would allow me to work 20-30 hours less a week less, make more money, and dramatically increase my quality of life, even if the job is slightly less than desirable. It could well get sorted out this weekend, so if there is any stray promotion~ma floating around out there, I'd give it a good home!

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

The time has come for me to move on, for now at least. Thanks for the good times. Mail sent to my profile address will be gladly read.

Be kind to each other.

Trust my rage

They are coming to disconnect my internet in an hour. The house closes on Thursday and we leave for Brazil on Friday. If anyone wants anything (small) from Brazil, let me know.

We get back from Brazil at the end of June, but won't be settled in North Carolina until early August.
