Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Releasing direction-ma and raise-ma back out into the ether. I got a promotion and a raise, coupled with the promise of mentoring.

Now Z & I just need to find an apartment.

Anyway, thanks.

move out and draw fire

I'll ask for some of that direction-ma, please? I think that instead of me joining the Foreign Service, my husband might leave the Foreign Service, possibly for teaching. I guess we need make-good-decisions-ma.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

In case any of y'all were coming to DC for the big Women's March at the end of April, you should know there's a big drag king show the night before. For your enjoyment. Cause we figured if there were going to be a million extra women in town, some of them would appreciate....

Our wings are not tired

Well, I'm requesting some ~ma. I'm sensing on the wind at the all girls school where I teach that they are looking to combine two part time positions (One of them being mine) into a full time position. I'm not at all interested in going full time, so if this happens I'll lose my job there next year. I'm on contract through then end of summer so it's nothing immediate. Also, the school needs to do what is best for them. I've been there for 5 wonderful years and love the girls, but if it is done, it is done. So, the ~ma that I'm looking for is more along the lines of everything working out for the best. If I keep the job there that would be cool, but I'd also be totally cool with finding other work to fill that gap in my income. It could be another college level adjunct position, or just more frequency on the larger design stuff.

I've never done this before but I've recently uprooted my life and moved out East to get a life and find a job and I'm requesting a little jobma for tomorrow. I have a second interview with a very cool nonprofit organization and getting the thing would mean having my first real job after a long series of retail, low-paying temp jobs, and non-paying internships. It would also mean the fulfillment of my seemingly impossible quest - full health benefits!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'd like some budgeting and job-ma for this summer and fall. I found out that my graduate internship (which includes a fall/winter tuition stipend) will not be renewed -- it's a yearly contract, and since I student teach in the spring, I wouldn't be able to work then, so...no renewal. Also, I found out that the financial aid I get for summer will cover only my tuition, and my stipend for my job won't pay my rent and bills, so I need to find a night and weekend job. I'm-a starting scouting now, and applying in two weeks.

So any -ma in that general nature would be appreciated! Grazie.
