Buffy: You tossed that vamp like he was a... little teeny vamp. Riley: You wanna go again? C'mon. I bet this place is just teeming with aerodynamic vampires.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'll be out of town for a writer's residency and will be dark grey until Friday night. Profile email works if anyone needs to contact me, I'll be checking it twice daily.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Going gray for an indefinite period.

Any enough-hours-in-the-day-ma you can spare would be appreciated.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

For those interested in the ongoing saga of our homeless friend John, I have some very good news:

He has a fulltime job with a contractor, which is paying him well, and he's been asked to spend the next three months staying the house his new employer's company is remodeling.

He sends his love, thanks and gratitude for all the help and good wishes. And so do we.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am home from England, but I won't be around much today or tommorrow because I am babysitting.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Nora has bronchiolitis (a respiratory infection) which can be very serious in young babies. Right now she's mostly just miserable, but if her breathing problems get any more severe she may need to be hospitalized.

We could really use some healthma. Many thanks.

Because I am a thorough-going screwup:

Perkins, for some reason your phone numbers have like an insubstantial pageant faded from my frellin' e-ddress book.

If you see this before tomorrow morning, around nine, can you please ping me on my cell? Or, Nic on his? Or, email me with your numbers again (I am a dimwit)?

Making plans for Buffista fooding at Taxco needs to ensue.

edit: and will be darkish until Thursday, being in LA and not at home.
