move out and draw fire

Halloween is over, and I'm back! We gave out almost 100 bags of candy, so not as much as last year, but we had a lot of kids who told us that they liked this year's decorations the best of all. Photos are here, although very dark and hard to discern. It looked way cooler IRL. No really.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

A question for all Seattleistas:

The Seattle Barnes and Noble at University Village would love me to come up and do an event. Alack, the dates they have in mind are either 7 or 8 January, which happen to be a Wednesday and Thursday night. This means the 7th would be the date, since I have to be back in SF to take my multiple sclerosis meds on Thursday night; the 8th is out.

The suggestion is that I find a second venue up there - Borders, a good independent, etc - and try for a Tuesday night reading as well. That would make flying up viable.

So, a couple/few queries:

1. Can someone up there house me, if I get in on Monday or Tuesday night, 5th or 6th January?

2. Has someone got a non-Barnes and Noble store they'd like to rec?

3. Can any/all of you come to those readings, and bring a friend or three?

Thanks, all, and soonest is best. Email works: sf_deb@yahoo.com

So, as you know, I was laid off, but am working until the end of the month.

I have an interview tomorrow morning. 9AM (6AM board time). Please send vibes, y'all! Vibes that (a) they want to hire me (b) they want to pay me good and (c) they dont' need me to start until, oh, say, January.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Sigh. The interview-ma was apparently either misdirected, or trying to tell me it was not a good job, because the interview was blechhhhhh. And they thought so too.

So, -ma for something else, better, please! :)

Thrive to spite them

Bay Area Buffistas---

I'm making arrangements for what I'll be doing in San Francisco next week (Tues-Wed). If you'd like to get together, I'll be discussing things in the Peoplesforum F2F thread.

Just dropping in to let y'all know that my story "The Ichthyomancer Writes His Friend With an Account of the Yeti's Birthday Party" is in the newest issue of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, along with a host of other great stuff. If you'd like to own a copy of your very own, check your local zine- or genre-friendly bookstore, or order it from the site; they take PayPal.
