"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Madrigal, on Firefly:

Another thing: the narration reminded me so much of "Dukes of Hazzard" that I was really hoping to see Mal and Jayne jump into the ship through the windows before speeding away.

All is well that ends in pizza.

DavidS - in Firefly discussion:

Hated the opening theme song.

Come listen to a story
about a crew in outerspace
Poor li'l brigands
could barely feed their face
Then one day they were stealing from a train
Up through the score come a twangy refrain
Space that is...AstroWhores...Western Stars...

billytea in Natter:

That's the black-footed penguin, right? I saw come of them in the Dallas Aquarium. Incidentally, the Bronx Zoo has a group of them as well, including a gay couple. Two male penguins have taken over one of the best nesting sites (rumour has it that it looks fabulous).

ita:

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Obviously billytea forgot the cedille on the c in "çome"

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

PMM: Is there a 12-step for [slashers]?

erika: Yes, probably, but they don't get through much of the meetings because they are pairing off the men in the group.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Obviously billytea forgot the cedille on the c in "çome"

Bugger. I've fixed the spelling in the original post; if anyone wants to do so here, it would be appreciated.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Anne W: I clicked, and I feel no shame. I am not a spoiler whore. I am a spoiler companion.

Thrive to spite them

Shrift: Heh. When my post showed up white, I said, "Help! Help! I'm being oppressed!"

Billytea: "Oh, now we see the whitefont inherent in the system! Come and see the whitefont inherent in the system!"

If I only had a brain...

Angus G.: Well, my faith is better than everyone else's, but it didn't seem nice to brag about it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Theodosia:

Yea, though I walk through the valley of earworms, I shall not be afraid, for I have KMIN on the noise-reduction earphones at work.
