You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A newbie discovers HSQ in Angel:

Polter-Cow:

Dude.

What no one mentioned was the moment Angel said, "Can you figure out the one word in there you shouldn't have said?"

And my brain quickly went through the sentence, and then I shouted, "OH MY FUCKING GOD!"

I like it when shows make me shout, "OH MY FUCKING GOD!"

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Buffista self-help strategies, in F2F:

MFNlaw (I think?), summing up our feelings about Cass: Great hair, great smile, great boobs, what’s not to love, I say.

Cass: I am gonna tattoo this on my ass. In reverse. Then, if I am having demony issues, I can just moon a nearby mirror and have myself a real good day.

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

going back a ways in Angel ...

Bon Bon: But we all know it's a stupidly unsupported argument and shouldn't be given the time of day.

Allyson: Unless one wants to throw rocks at the stupid. And I'm in need of exercise, so, there's that.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

In F2F:

Aimee: Not sure if this was mentioned by the group of zoo goers. But pandas?

Dead.

Well one was dead, one was humping the rock he was sleeping on.

billytea: This is why it's so hard to get them to breed in captivity. They have no energy left after spending all day sleep-humping the furniture.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Tim, in his very own thread:

Okay, some tiny good news -- looks as though 20th is going to go through with "Wonderfalls" DVDs. The folks on the DVD marketing side love the 13 episodes and see great potential. We're talking about extras and commentary and all that good stuff. December/Holiday release was mentioned. I'll keep you updated. (BTW -- a flood of "postcards" was mentioned. We were asked, "that's not your families sending those, is it?" Um. In a *way*...)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And more:

On Tim's mythical Buffy-writing career:

Betsy HP: I especially liked the episode in which Xander killed Willow. It was wrenching, if somewhat homophobic and anti-feminist.

Tim Minear: She knew the risks of the lifestyle going in.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Raquel in Natter:

I have also been pondering where Betsy gets these links. My theory is that any powerful and incomprehensible force becomes deified by the culture that it benefits and punishes, and certain members of that culture will feel the call to become an intermediary between the god-thing and the people.

Betsy's an Internet Shaman.

The status is NOT quo.

bon bon

I'm so OVER being judged on taste by someone who gets kicked and punched in the head for fun.

ita

And this is just more evidence that you can't be trusted.

I've never been kicked in the head. And even if I had, what I do for fun is kick other people. "Other" is such the important word.

billytea

Indeed. Because without it, you're left with "I kick people, possibly including myself". Which doesn't so much say 'martial arts' as it does 'violent uncontrollable leg spasms'.

And now I'm surely going to hell, because I just had an idea for an event at the Special Olympics.

My tagline and life are a work in progress.

Allyson in Minearverse:

It's all very McGyver. "Here's 3 dollars, a case of red bull, the set from Alf, and three crackheads we found behind the House of Pies. Make a television show, and make sure it'll appeal to 18-49 males."
