Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bitches, discussing Black Canary's cry:

Cabil: A sonic cry, a high decibel sound set at the frequency to upset the human nervous system.

billytea: It's pretty easily upset. It is, after all, a nervous system.

The status is NOT quo.

Lilty Cash

non-spoilery about the Angel finale:

Am in fact broken by tv. But good broken. In a horrible way.

Joss, as expected, you've paper-cut me, poured salt in the wound, gave me an indian burn, paddled my ass, and pushed me face down in the mud.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Vortex in Natter:

The UPS and FedEx guys at the same time are a lucky happenstance. The copier repairman makes it officially porn.

Funny in context, even better without.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Frankenbuddah: You'd think Wesley would have stolen a copy of the Evil Overlord guide during his time at W & H. (vaguely spoilery for Angel finale)

Raquel: billytea, a cool side effect of the cicadas is that more bird species are more prevalent here than normal.

billytea: Excellent. One of my favourite DC memories is of a cardinal, full of righteous indignation, defending his territory from the rival cardinal currently kicking up a fuss just on the other side of that SUV's rear view mirror. I like to think he won a moral victory.

Let me make clear that I don't mean a Catholic potentate. Though that would take it from one of my favourite DC memories to one of my favourite memories of all time.

And from the "How sad that he said it/ How sad that I laughed" department:

Noise Design: Someone just paid for the F2F through paypal and it's a name and email I don't recognize.

billytea: I hope it's Mentok. OooooOOOOOooooo.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Gudanov in Bitches:

Knock, Knock

opens door to reveal two large men in black suits and dark sunglasses

"Uh....Hello? Are you guys with the government."

"No sir. We're from PBS. We've gotten reports you've been watching 'Nova' and not donating." The PBS goons speak with a relaxing english accent

"Ummmm....no....no....I just watch FOX. Yeah, I'm a big fan of that millionarie Joe show and stuff."

"That's passe sir. You're coming with us." The PBS goons grab the hapless victim.

"No! No! What's going to happen to me?"

"Three straight weeks of Teletubbies, 27-7 sir. When we're done with you you'll never understand another episode of 'Nova'. You'll be watching FOX then."

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

What is even happening?

VERY spoilery for Angel finale

Frankenbuddha: "Senator found dead by axe murderer, surrounded by mounds of dust. Film at eleven."

Given that she was a W & H client we can expect Rush, Fox News and the current administration to demand an exhaustive (and civil liberties threatening) investigation.

Katerina Bee:

Dear NZ Customs,

Better think about giving us back our Gus, pronto. He's harmless, although a Weremonkey; but the zombies we'll send to Auckland in our name to initiate extraction proceedings are going to be problematical.

Love and Kisses, the Buffistas

Our billytea is just king of the comeback today.

tommyrot: The flirting with mechanics thing never works for me.

billytea: Hell, I can't even work out the mechanics of flirting.

Besty HP in B'cy

Go ahead, tell me how wrong I am. Wronger than a wrong thing poached in wrong wine and served with a reduced wrong sauce.
