Everybody plays each other. That's all anybody ever does. We play parts.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, now he knows. Clearly, I was whispering in italics and here you go with a normally weighted font. Why don't you just bold it next time.

I can't even.

Ginger in Bitches,

We'd have found Osama bin Laden by now if Vanderbilt thought there was any chance he might donate.

And you know it isn't just Vandy.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Damn it, JohnS!

You know, we've spent five years trying to convince Holli's parents we're not axe-murderers and all it takes is one little "Let's pull her face off!" from MM to waste it all.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Tommyrot (responding to an odd news article in Natter): Damn. I guess it's best for us penis-folk to always keep a chicken or duck handy.

Billytea: If ever there were a sentence with the potential for misunderstanding...

Bev: I suddenly thought one day, while looking at a pelmetted, cornice-boarded, swagged and jabot-ed window that had, really commited no offense to anyone, why?

I mean, it's dark inside, so you cut a hole in the wall to let some light in, and to see outside without having to go outside. And then sometimes you want it to be be dark inside, so you cover the hole, but sometimes you want it open, but drafts come in around it, so you want to muffle the drafts, so you push the window covers to the sides to help cut down the draft. But basically, it's a hole in the wall with fabric hung there to perform certain functions. Okay, color, I can see curtains being an opportunity for color. But when it starts getting into cornices and jabots, I'm standing here with my head tilted going, whuh?

Wolfram, in natter:

There once was a site called Buffista,

Whose members were top of the lista,

With compassion and snark,

Their posts hit the mark,

Except that sometimes they tend to run a little wordy and long-winded until sheer exhaustion forces them to stop typing before they hurt their wrista.

Robert H in Minearverse:

Fast-forward to the year 2011:

=========

Coming this fall, on the New DuMont Network . . .

From Tim Minear, the writer and producer behind Firefly, Wonderfalls, and Die a Painful, Ironic Death . . .

(explosions) (people screaming and yelling)

(two women looking at each other like they might be thinking about kissing, maybe) (offscreen character line lifted from another episode entirely: "Oh my!")

Is it out there?

(climactic, very spoilery moment of pilot episode [which makes no sense out of context] [and will never be aired])

Oh, it's out there.

THIS OCTOBER

EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT

(UPON THE CONCLUSION OF PBA CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH PLAY)

Tim Minear's New Masterpiece Theater.

(line lifted from entirely different show: "WOOOOOOO!")
