I look more rad than Lutheranism

In Movies:

Fred Pete -- I'm not sure From Justin to Kelly deserves as bad as the Razzies gave it.

Megan E. -- I kept hoping for a sequel, From Ruben to Clay but alas, it wasn't to be.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

billytea in Natter:

This is my fourth winter in Philly, and I haven't fallen on the ice once. Naturally, now I will slip and fall as I go home tonight, for I have tempted the gods, who after all have a pretty basic sense of humour.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

ita, in Natter:

Why does Petcare send me e-mails with the subject of "Just in time for Valentines"?

That's not going to turn out well.

Or legally.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

vw bug in Natter:

I see a discussion on "hair," and I immediately think, "You can't love a vagina if you don't love hair."

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Daniel C. Jensen, in Bitches:

You can tell it's Monday because the ball gags come out.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Beloved Hecubus in Firefly:

I assumed the Alliance was in place for a long time in the core planets, and that all those wild and wooly outlier planets were independent and wanted to stay that way, since they were probably trying to get away from civilization in the first place. So they were like the West at the time of the civil war. And, to carry that analogy, the Union said "Okay, you're part of our country now and these are the new rules and pay your taxes." Which didn't go over well with the Space Mormons in New Utah Prime.

Swouncing

Natter:

Beverly: I used to pluck the occasional grey hair. The first time I plucked a dozen, I went into the room where my sons were watching tv, and gave each of them six grey hairs.

"Here. These belong to you."

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

(gasp)

Would you believe? My first COMM that wasn't a straight line setup for someone else's joke?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Raquel on The Butterfly Effect starring Ashton Kutcher:

My only knowledge of the movie is that the first time I saw the preview, a guy sitting next to me in the theater yelled "Dan Savage wants your phone number, Ashton!" and someone who may have been my husband yelled back, "Dan's too good for Ashton!" and the rest of the preview was lost in Dan/Ashton/Demi snarking.

Steph L.:

See, that's another movie I felt like I should get, but I totally didn't.

I fear I'm one brain cell away from only liking movies with Brittney Spears in them.
