(December 16, 2003): Since today marks my one year anniversary as a registered (and posting) Buffista, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the things I’ve learned over the past year. I learned (among other things):
1) the meaning of HoYay and its delightful ubiquity;
2) the difference between snark and snerk;
3) that getting along is usually more important than being right, and that I’d rather be an asset than an ass;
4) that the Buffistas are a fiercely protective and cohesive group of independent thinkers, and by thinkers I mean porn;
5) that numberslutting can lose its thrill, but a new thread never loses its smell;
6) about gay pirates, dead pandas, social capital, nillying, buff-diving, preferential voting, how to spell bureaucrazy, and that monkeys will always be funny;
7) that Joss and Tim are gods, and that Joss and Tim are us;
8) that you only get COMMed when you least expect it
9) that my life has gotten a little bit brighter for being a part of this amazing community; and
10) that I can never give back as much as I’ve gained although I damn well plan to try.

Gudanov: I would have never thought I could get used to getting thrown up on and slobbered on until I had kids.
Aimée - Gud, did you NOT go to college?
I'm only the set up.

Well I guess my superediting powers have been foiled by Cindy's nefarious COMM ray. Always one step ahead, she is, but one day...

Hi USPS? Ya know how you are 'posed to update me when my package is gonna be sent? Well, it's sitting on my lap, ya big goofs.
EpicTangent:
Hi Aimee,
Your Package has been delivered.
Love, USPS
Aimée:
Dear USPS,
Thank you. The service I have received is nothing less than I have come to expect.
Aimee
PS While it may seem like it, so NOT a compliment.
EpicTangent:
Dear Aimee,
Thank you for your feedback. Much like in the game of Darts, first we achieve consistency, then we try to improve our aim. Maybe.
Love, USPS
Aimée:
Dear USPS,
I need no improvement, but thanks.
I *always* get a package there.
Thanks Anyway,
Aim
Damn, Nilly beat me to it. That should be the board's tagline, I swear.
That should be the board's tagline, I swear.
Maybe a title to the next Natter thread? It's got the meaningfulness plus being a quote from the show - it can't get much better than this (without pandas).
Nah, cause once that chapter of Natter was over, I would miss the foam of such a board tagline. Don't curse the darkness, threadsuck at Buffistas!
