Thanks for all the fish.

ted r, in Angel:

Cindy-don't be so shy! Your pov is as valid as any here.

(Well, except for mine of course.)

[Official notice-the above is intended as a JOKE. I recognize that those who disagree with me on something are not insane, small-minded, ignorant fools, who couldn't think their way out of a paper bag if their life depended on it.]

[An apology-the Official Notice may have given the misleading impression that its author really believes that those who have contrary points of view are loathesome spotted twits who deserve to be struck down by the Wrath of God, a God who bears a striking resemblance to the author. For which We apologize.]

[We apologize for the previous apology, which implied that the author of said apology believes He is the Almighty, and that anyone who does not bow down and grovel at His feet shall be cast into a burning lake of fire for all Eternity. This was an error. The Apology should actually read: I'm terribly sorry if I've offended anyone, and my opinions are not to be taken anymore seriously than you would that of anyone else who is strikingly handsome and very good in bed.]

And now to take my meds...

If I only had a brain...

Hill R in Bitches:

This thing on VH-1 just referred to Tiffany and Debbie Gibson as "riding the sticky wave to success." In the few seconds before I figured out what they actually meant, I had an extreme "eww" reaction.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jess PMoon, in Bitches -

I checked my computer for offensive content once, just for fun.

Among other things, it found every single cached page from this thread.

I'm a freak.

But I'm hoping someone will think I'm a CUTE freak, and carry me home and feed me dinner.

Elena on the relative length of porn vs. romance novels:

Yeah, but all of the throbbing manhoods take up more space.

DavidS, in Natter -

Awww, Nilly, everybody thinks you're sweet. I think this is a universal Buffista constant up there with the desire to lock Fay in a cage in your bedroom and never ever let her out because she belongs to you and you alone. Of course, first she'd be very polite, and say charming things like "Do be a pet and release me." Then she'd be incredibly amusing as she moved into high-octane profanity because she'd be specific and articulate and yet very British about it. Then, inevitably, she'd create a blow gun out of a boba straw and a pencil nub and pierce your eardrum causing you to writhe around the floor in agony while she laughed like a drain.

putting Miracleman's brain back where it belongs...

Nobody

From Buffy 1 - no spoilers (from a non-new episode convo about siring and such)

Madrigal...

Hmm. Maybe the reason that we haven't seen very many sires by the Goresome Foursome is that the bloodlines do dilute with each step. So among the hoity-toity undead, it's unseemly to sire more than a few people in order to keep the bloodline strong.

then Vortex...

yeah, Darla talked about this on Angel when she was trying to get revamped.

Madrigal again,

So when she tried to get the Shempire to sire her, she must have been insanely desperate. Maybe W&H hired Dru just to make sure that Darla didn't end up a member of the Order of Dwayne or the like.

then finally - Steph L.

Man, with my luck, I would SO end up in the Order of Dwayne.

edited to correct context

Thanks, Jess!

Let me just say that popularity with people on public transportation does not equal literary respect. --Jesse

Cindy, that was in Buffy

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tom Scola's tagline, which just made me laugh and laugh:

"I" "am" "not" "ironic"
