It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

"When the world's run by fools it's the duty of intelligence to disobey." Martin Firrell

ita, I spent a few hours over this past weekend chatting with an old school friend of yours, Colin Ferguson!

I have to say it is so simple when there seems to be only one of you (ita) in the world. I didn't have to mention your surname or family, nationality, current geographical location, industry, or even any additional descriptors at all, other than 'ita'.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wait--where is he now? Last time I spoke to him he was getting on a plane for New Zealand...

I would like to apologise to the other itas who thought they'd snag a user name, etc, first. I think we all assume we own the name outright, and I do try to be first to the finish line where I can.

Well, he may be home by now, but he spent the weekend in Melbourne. Brilliant weekend!

I had a few conversations with him (Niall and Neil too), over the weekend and it wasn't until the second or third time I was chatting to him on the Sunday that I name-dropped you. :)

We were discussing how 'sci-fi/fantasy genre, shows such as Eureka, technology and mythology, Whedon - Avengers to Shakespeare, and so on' work to develop rapport and relationships with my students, thereby helping me better teach technology and computers to teenagers. And you popped into my head.

Well, the look on his face when I suddenly blinked up at him and said something about knowing his friend, ita, was priceless.

ps. Please send positive vibes Melbourne way, my dad has been taken back to hospital (second time in less than 48 hours) and is now in ICU. Pneumonia plus infection/complications.

Seriously ita, the look on his face when I said your name, but then the second look on his face later, when he asked me how and how long and I replied that it went back before Eureka by quite a few years, he thought it was brilliant!

hip deep in pie

That is an awesome story. Now I want to hunt him down when he films Haven (unless he has already.) It'll be like ita has agents worldwide.
