Well, he may be home by now, but he spent the weekend in Melbourne.
Brilliant weekend!
I had a few conversations with him (Niall and Neil too), over the weekend and it wasn't until the second or third time I was chatting to him on the Sunday that I name-dropped you. :)
We were discussing how 'sci-fi/fantasy genre, shows such as Eureka, technology and mythology, Whedon - Avengers to Shakespeare, and so on' work to develop rapport and relationships with my students, thereby helping me better teach technology and computers to teenagers. And you popped into my head.
Well, the look on his face when I suddenly blinked up at him and said something about knowing his friend, ita, was priceless.
ps. Please send positive vibes Melbourne way, my dad has been taken back to hospital (second time in less than 48 hours) and is now in ICU. Pneumonia plus infection/complications.
Mwah ha ha! BUFFISTA HIGH FIVE. Famous ain't shit--he doesn't know how Buffistas roll.
Seriously ita, the look on his face when I said your name, but then the second look on his face later, when he asked me how and how long and I replied that it went back before Eureka by quite a few years, he thought it was brilliant!
That's awesome. Ma to your dad.
Great, great story, and great ~mas in your direction, moonlit.
That is an awesome story. Now I want to hunt him down when he films Haven (unless he has already.) It'll be like ita has agents worldwide.
That is awesome! Also - much ~ma to your dad.
All the best for your father, moonlit.
What kind of accent is Idris Elba's on Luther? Having encountered it only in TV characters, I think of it as "British Badass". but I'm pretty sure "Badass" is not an actual UK region. (Though it is possible that this will provoke riffs on what part of the UK "Badass" is in. )
Skipping even in this thread, on the other hand of shabbat and internet-connection-problems, in order to apologize for managing to miss posting on time that according to the Buffista Calendar, yesterday, the 26th, was Fiona's birthday.
Lots of belated wishes for a wonderful year, Fiona! A great almost-even-if-not-exactly-first day of your new age!
