Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

How often do the episodes run?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Every blue moon?

I think it was weekly before.

I can't believe that article discusses slash. Perverts.

The subtext is becoming text all over the place.

The first three episodes of Sherlock ran weekly, but that was in the summer and before the BBC discovered it had a monster hit on its hands, so God knows how they'll be showing them now.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I just read Mark Watches's posts on the S1 episodes, and he's all over the subtext, as well.

The subtext is becoming text all over the place.

t cough Swimming Pool t /cough

Would it be an abuse of University equipment to watch the ep using a classroom with a projector at school? hmmm...

Guardian article about this season of Misfits:

[link]

I am very, very sad to say that I disagree with the article and most of the comments; I've been pretty let down by S. 3 so far.

The new powers have been such a disappointment. Simon and Alisha have used theirs a couple of times at most, and they've been completely incidental to the plot. Kelly's was boding well ("Because you're a fucking rocket scientist" - "Yes I fuckin' am!"), but nothing has happened here at all the past couple of episodes and now I'm not even sure if she still has that power or Curtis's old one. (Which, by the way, never allowed him to travel back in history outside of his own time). Melissa was cool but, I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure a self-impregnation would never have made it to a viable pregnancy. Now she's gone too and all Curtis has left is Zombification. And Rudy is just too, too much.

They're going to have to pull some major Simon-is-Superhoodie-type HSQ in the finale to redeem themselves on this one, as far as I'm concerned.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Fiona,

the Nazi episode featured a different power altogether - it wasn't Curtis' old power.

I actually like what they've done with Kelly this season. It feels like she had gotten more plot and more agency. I dig it. Alisha though...they need to develop her character a bit more separate from the male characters.

Yes, it was. [Edit: well, it was supposed to be. Like I said: it doesn't quite add up]. When Curtis wanted his old power back at the end of S. 2 Seth told him he'd sold it to an old Jewish guy who wanted to kill Hitler. That's what we saw played out.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I haven't seen this week's yet, but I think one of the problems is that it's been more about them dealing with other people's powers rather than using their own. And there's been way too much of the new guy to the detriment of developing the rest of the gang. I mean, a whole episode about him trying to prevent his dick from falling off?!
