Hah - I was thinking that Simon might choose Nathan's immortality, and thus not really die when taking that bullet for Alisha. Then he could travel back to the future and continue his life with her .

Wishful speculation, I know. More than one makes sense too - they had enough money. Doubles all round!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The gymnastics *could* be learned, in a Batman sorta way, but I think things like tossing that paper airplane across the river required an additional power. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with more than two.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Right. But what power is that? And he was unaffected by Alicia when he came back. I think he must have a speed/agility power and at least 2 others.

Did Dirk Gently air? How was it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought it was fun, although plotwise it wasn't remotely like the book I remember. Dirk was a bit more of a con man that I recall, but it's cloudy.

Misfits: I'm guessing Aliesha chose a different power to buy back.

Dirk Gently: I love the book(s) so much that I just could not enjoy the mini. It was fine as entertainment, but that was not my Dirk.

Alisha has to. Her power's gone.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

right. but why could he touch her when she had the power?

Dirk Gently: Just watched it this evening. I never read the book. I was bored at first but thought it picked up and was good fun by the end. The only problem I had plotwise was: How did the iPhone still work??! That's a hell of a battery!

This article with Steven Moffat, about the Christmas special, is snarky fun. (New York Times)

He says the Marilyn thing is just a gag. Hmph.
