That's OK, thanks Fiona. I'll be at work soon.

Three minutes into the movie and I'm already yelling at the screen.
They had the President of the United States saving the world by climbing into a jet fighter and blowing stuff up and this is what you yell at? ...Damn, it's good to be back.
Have any unamericans had experience with the squatting style they want to share?
FTR, and this may be because I've been away a while, I read 'unamericans' being pronounced like the Unabomber. Which I like to think enhanced the experience.
At first I found it really difficult, but I got used to it after a couple of days, but I didn't find any kind of transition problem coming back to "western" toilets.
Y'know, I found driving on the right to be much the same. ...Ok, maybe not that much the same. But you know what I mean.
And, FTR, I find myself firmly in favour of both baths and showers, especially where other people are concerned, for I am a long-time user of peak-hour public transport.

I just (finally) saw Pyscho Beach Party. The User Comment at IMDb sums up perfectly how I feel about this excellent, low-budget comedy, so I won't write too much here (as usual). All of the acting was superb, with Lauren Six Feet Under Ambrose giving a wonderful performance as Sally Field playing Gidget while making Sybill.
I also have to say that Kimberley Davies was a surprise. I only know her from the godawful Aussie soap opera, Neighbours, so her delightful turn as a Marilyn Monroe/Jayne Mansfield z-grade movie actress, was a revelation.
Oh and Nicholas Brendon had a lot more screen time than I expected, so that was cool. :)
He also (sort of) faced up to Channon Roe again. Channon is the actor who played "Jack" in season 3's, "The Zeppo".

I yelled more, believe me. Probably most when Jeff Goldblum interfaced with an Alien starship using Mac OS 8, which would barely to talk to a Windows NT server on a good day.
I thought that the idea that advanced life-forms used Macs was a basic tenet of your religion, John ;)
Damn, puns are pervasive.
I read that as "a basic telnet of your religion".
Plasmo! Welcome back! How was NZ? I'm having a party on Sat. night...want to come? E-mail me at angus@angusgordon.com and I'll send you an invite.
t edit Welcome back billytea as well!
Also, anyone else is welcome to come to my party, if you want to fly to Melbourne for the weekend.
plasmo - you were in NZ? I visited there May before last. (I was going to say "spring" but then I realized that would be ambiguous.) My brother and I were visiting his girlfriend, who has been playing in a percussion ensemble based in Wellington.
Did you have a good trip? I loved NZ, and wish we could have stayed longer.
Welcome back billytea as well!
Well, thank you. On the down side, I'm afraid it's left me with insufficient leave or funds to attend your party. I trust this won't overly handicap the festivities.
Welcome back Billytea :)
Oooh, NZ was lovely! I'd never visited the North Island before. There were plenty of alternative fashion stores, record shops, and cute bars in Auckland.
Ouise, I haven't made it to Wellington. I hear the best in NZ music and fashion is there? I love the South Island too.
Kayaked for three days in the Bay of Islands. Dolphins, mangroves, phosphorescent water at night, mosquitos the size of big daddy-long-legs! Being in the middle of nowhere and meeting artists who crack open the champagne in honour of company. Was a great holiday. I think I lost weight :o
Thanks for the offer Angus, sounds good. email pending. :)
