A quick question for any UK-istas. My roomie is looking at teaching in England, and she is talking to a school in Aylesbury. Her contact tells her it is about an hour train ride from London, and she's trying to find any information she can about the area, if it's rural or suburban, whether there's a good point between there and London for her to find a flat, etc. She's googling and says it's like a black hole. Anyone know anything about it?
ETA: You can probably disregard. I just tried for myself and offhand, it looks like there's plenty. Maybe she was doing something wrong.
I just had to share this for the benefit of the non-Aussie UnAms and the Ams on the board. Is this bloke the
best
voice-over man in the business, or wot!?
Word of warning:
"The Horrible Truth" and "Lewd" are not work friendly links but funny as hell. They are real fake promos written, recorded, and broadcast during the
This Sporting Life with Roy and H.G.
show on Triple J radio.
For the Aussies, ASH is now appearing on
Monarch of the Glen.
Now we have Giles
and
the Doctor. Woo!
Anyone else watching
Get Up, Stand Up?
Second week in a row it's left me with tears in my eyes that are a mixture of joy, sadness, frustration, and anger.

on a unrelated side-note: that's twice I've just seen references to the new Dr Who, so I think the ABC is getting ready to start screening it shortly.
Hmmm, I'm going to be watching Monarch of the Glen on BBC-America this afternoon -- I hope ASH will be on it! (I don't know if we're getting the same season as you are!)

Yay for you! I've just seen the fourth episode, and all I'm going to say is that it's a really good series so far, ocassional plot lapse notwithstanding.

IIRC, they have it scheduled to start mid-May.

I've seen the first two and will be getting 3 and 4 from a mate shortly but it won't stop me watching on TV. Being a geek an' all.

Woo!
A little late, but hoping all Austral- and NZistas had a good ANZAC Day.
