When I want a bath but I only have time for a shower, a put the plug in during the shower, so at least my feet get a bath. Bathing the feet provides a suprising amount of relaxation...

I can easily spend 5 hours in the tub. I got one of those bath rack thingies for my birthday, so I may be able to last longer nowMy get clean baths are much like PM's (not terribly shocking to me). But for spa day it's bath then shower.
I normally wash my hair in the sink- the current abode has a large sink in the bathroom which is okay for that, and no shower. If it had a shower, I'd wash my hair there.
Geez, I never had enough patience to really fill the tub... all my baths used to be kid baths, where you put a few scant inches in and scrub a lot.
I was going to mention those but thought I'd make my mom sound cheap. 40-gallon baths are strictly entertainment for me, as well as 20-minute showers. Normally I wash face, feet, armpits and groin and get outta there.
I haven't taken a bath for years for cleaning purposes. I generally shower a couple times a day.
The spa is my friend. At the end of almost every day DH and I relax for a while in the spa outside. We have a drink and discuss the day. Not for very long, perhaps 15-20 minutes just washing off the day. In the summer we use the cooler pool for the same purpose. It is my favorite time of day.
That sounds lovely, Laura. I shower alternate showers and baths. In an ideal world (one where I didn't have to be at work at 7:30 am) I would shower every morning and take a bath each evening. No combining them for me, as L.A. has separate showers and baths--don't know why, but almost every home and apartment is this way. It leads to larger bathrooms and nice tile shower stalls, so I ain't complaining!
John, insent. I realised after the event that I replied to your work address, hope that's OK.
That's OK, thanks Fiona. I'll be at work soon.
Three minutes into the movie and I'm already yelling at the screen.
They had the President of the United States saving the world by climbing into a jet fighter and blowing stuff up and this is what you yell at? ...Damn, it's good to be back.
Have any unamericans had experience with the squatting style they want to share?
FTR, and this may be because I've been away a while, I read 'unamericans' being pronounced like the Unabomber. Which I like to think enhanced the experience.
At first I found it really difficult, but I got used to it after a couple of days, but I didn't find any kind of transition problem coming back to "western" toilets.
Y'know, I found driving on the right to be much the same. ...Ok, maybe not that much the same. But you know what I mean.
And, FTR, I find myself firmly in favour of both baths and showers, especially where other people are concerned, for I am a long-time user of peak-hour public transport.
