Australia, right, Bells? Welcome.
Even two years later it still seems wrong that Buffy isn't on TV.

Yep. Australia. And thanks!
Given I only ever saw a bit of season six on TV, I don't know what it's like to have to wait for an episode.
I tell you what's going to seem wrong now, is not cramming another episode into our every spare moment in an effort to find out what happens. it's all over....and so very well done!
Ah, but now you must start on Angel.
Oh I know....have a friend lined up to start handing me the DVDs. Got the sense when Angel showed up in the finale episode that he has really, really developed since the old days, pre his own show. Hard to fathom the change. Look forward to checking it out.
It's a pretty interesting shift. He kind of...grew up? Sort of. In that way that he was already 240 years old.

Oh wow, Bells. You've got some great stuff to look forward too. Some crap too (IMO) but the gold far, FAR outweighed the dross.
Thanks for the birthday wishes sweetpeas. :)
Just dropped by to mention Canivale, which is the first thing to capture my attention on tv in ages. True to form, you're all over it already. Got a region free dvd player for Christmas so am enjoying imports like the Director Series vol 1-3 feat. Michel Gondry, Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonze, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Recommended!
laterbabes!

I'm not! I'm thoroughly engaged. I thought the two Babylon episodes a few weeks ago were incredibly absorbing and dark. That last shot of her in the window was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Ooh, I saw that at a Miyazaki film festival last year. I thought it was great. I also saw My Neighbour Totoro, which was unbelievably cute and uplifting.
If you liked Nausicaa and Totoro, I'd highly recommend this DVD box set: [link]
Considering you get 11 or 12 films, it's not very expensive. Some are better than others, but they're all beautifully done.
I have that box set, but I should point out that it's bootleg.
It's a very well done bootleg, though. I didn't realize it until after I bought it.
