Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ooh! Could you try?

Oooh. I'm very jealous of the double-digit-languages speaking guy. Maaaaan.

So, to validate the unamericanness of this post (as if speaking multiple languages wasn't enough): I met Jars! Jars exists, our Irish buffista!!

And she gives damn good tours of the national museum, with all kinds of attention to the archaeological aspects.

What meara means to say is that I give damn good geek.

And undoubtedly bore the tourists to death.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

FIREFLY REACHES AUSTRALIAN TELEVISION AT LAST!

I had originally heard that Channel 9 had grabbed the rights to screen the series but it turns out Channel 7 have it. Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney are all getting it on Tuesday night at 1AM. Next week's episode is "The Train Job", so I'm hoping this just means they're screening it in the US broadcast order. The alternative is that I missed "Serenity" and that would suck.

You really don't hope that. Trust me. The characterizations make so much more sense when you see them in the intended order. Better to have missed Serenity and watch it later on the DVDs.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

S'okay Jon, I've seen them all in the proper order already--first on VCD, thanks to moonlit and then on DVD. I'm hoping they're starting with "Train Job" so it means I haven't missed "Serenity" and I get to watch every episode they screen. It'll be my "fuck you very much" to 20th Century Fox. :)

On a completely other topic: I just had to share :)

To every idea a shelf...

Thanks so much for the heads up, evil jimi. I remembered to watch it. I was really hoping I wouldn't like it. I tried not to like it. I knew liking it would only lead to eventual heartbreak.

Alas, they had me at "Nothin'. I just wanted you to face me so she could get behind ya."

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Someone needs to take the crack pipe away from the Seven execs. This coming Tuesday's episode of Firefly is ... "Serenity Pt 1". WTF?

Ick. It's not a freestanding first hour.

Ick indeed and no, it is definitely not a freestanding first hour...or a freestanding second hour for that matter. It's bad enough that we get it at 1AM but now this...ugh!
