Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Hmm, I remember WaWa from my days at Penn, so they're not just south of the Potomac. Actually, now that I think about it, there's one up the street from the Farmer's Market near the Philadelphia Convention center. (Only really useful on Sundays when the market is closed)

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yeah, we had the Wa in New Jersey too.

Same here. Just couldn't remember how far into Pennsylvania they extended.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hmmm. Must get north of the Potomac (other than in DC) more often.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hey, wait, are your 7-11's open from 7 to 11? Are any of them? Were they ever?

meara - Aug 29, 2004 6:52:48 am PDT #7115 of 9843

I think they used to be, Liese, but all the ones I know are 24 hours...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There's also a WaWa (no gasoline) on the Jersey Shore between Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Tru Calling is back. eBroadcast.com.au has it pencilled in for Tuesday night at 10:30PM in Adelaide.

eta: SG-1 is also back. 10:30PM on Wednesday and Thursday nights. It's followed by The X Files. Channel 7 have acquired the rights and are starting from scratch. The pilot is on Wed and the first ep of the first season (Deep Throat) is on Thursday.

etaa: I'm sure the irony of this pairing is lost on everyone at seven. Since they were/are both shot in Canada, quite a number of familiar faces appear in both shows. In SG-1 those actors tend to have recurring characters, while in X Files they play different characters with almost every appearance. Amongst the familiar faces are "Sam Carter"; "Col Maybourne"; "Sgt Silas"; "Major/Lt Col Sameuls"; "Charlie"; "Dr Warner"; "Dr Frasier"; "Major Davies"; and "Major Kawalsky".

To every idea a shelf...

I'm excited about this. I love old school X-Files but not quite enough to buy the DVDs.

'And on that tragic day, an era came to its inevitable end.' That's all there is.

I like 7-11's actually, it's comforting to know there's somewhere you can go to buy milk at 3 in the morning. Angus G "All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American" Aug 26, 2004 5:16:55 am PDT

why was a 7-11 open at 3 in the morning? (following Liese)

OTOH I am comforted by a 24 hour supermarket with milk (and everything else) at supermarket prices
