WaterAid has a special supplement in today's Guardian. If anybody reads it and wants to support them, I still want to try funneling my donations through a UK taxpayer so they can reclaim the tax.

All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American
Discussion of episodes currently airing in Un-American locations (anything that's aired in Australia is fair game), as well as anything else the Un-Americans feel like talking about or we feel like asking them. Please use the show discussion threads for any current-season discussion.

Just read that a tv mini-series remake of Salem's Lot is (or was) being filmed in Melbourne. Rutger Hauer is the vamp/bad guy and Rob Lowe the hero.
My favorite forever will be the one in which Elaine was trapped on the train, trying to get to a wedding.
Ha, yes, the lesbian wedding! "I'm not a lesbian! I hate men, but I'm not a lesbian!"

eviljimi got it right. "Who is Seinfield?" was my sarcastic typing.
And maybe I was having a small dig at Angus for his assertion that We Downunder will know about some aspect of Americana because it's in Seinfield.
Despite its profile, some people here (aka me) didn't actually watch it.
Never watched Friends either.
But isn't everyone glad I brought it up? What else would you all be talking about? WaterAid? Pfffhhht!
This could have been the de facto Cindy thread if not for all this Seinfeld talk!

Australian Idol.
Anyone?
Oh, also, a while back someone posted a link to an online site that will be selling Buffy and Angel DVDS for $34.95 each. I wasn't able to order off it because of some cookie problem. Anyway, according to Buffy Downunder, most retailors should be slashing their prices.
"CRAZY DVD Prices - $34.95! Just a quick note: It seems that 20th Century Fox are going to be fairly nice to us...
From the 22 Octoberish - ALL Buffy seasons - Most retailers - that's right, season 6 aswell - will be slashed in price, you'll find people doing prices from around $34.95, but don't be surprised if people go lower than that!
So, if you've got that one or two boxsets missing, or even if you've never bought a single one, just think, ALL of the Buffy episodes from season 1 to 6 for around $385. You'd be hard pressed to get 3 seasons for that much usually!"
I'm really happy about this. I need Angel Season 3, but I wasn't willing to pay full price for it - it's basically a completist buy rather than a desire buy.
That's great news. I've actually only got Season 1--my fandom has been severely tested by the $90-odd price tag for a box of 3.
Oh, and Rebekah was robbed!
