Erm - new to this site but hey it's FAB. Confused though - especially by Jim - I thought the buffista etiquette was not to post spoilers? huh? so Jim why did you? or didn't you. btw - v. interested in your Exeter exploits, especially as I live just outside of Oxford too!

Hi Penny! It is fab.

Buffista ettiquette normally means not posting spoliers, except under whitefont, ie. so that you can't read them unless you highlight them with your mouse.

But I'm only a few weeks into my Buffista career. It takes a while to get used to!

Hi Penny! I think Jim is just suffering from an excess of GottaTellSomebodyitis. If I recall correctly, aren't the Brits getting Season 7 in January?

We are! January the 9th, 8pm, Sky One. I think I may already have set my video recorder.

Hi, Penny, and welcome! I have nothing to add to what the others said, I just wanted to welcome you.

Ah I see, thanks Am-Chau. So now I can read them - Jim - yeah, with you totally on your last spoiler. So tell me then- being a devoted buffy watcher (heehee) since day 1 but not exactly up with the buffy news - is this REALLY the last season?

Penny J. - Nov 28, 2002 7:44:03 am PST #646 of 9843

Thanks Nilly. I should be working - shouldn't anyone else be working or are you all free from such drudgery?

The last season of Buffy proper, starring Buffy? It seem likely, as SMG looks set on leaving at the end of it.

The last season set in in the Whedonverse? Unlikely. Angel seems set to carry on, people are talking about a show featuring Dawn, and possibly a British one based around Giles.

That's what I know at the moment.

I have things to do, but I'm also officially not well and allowed to rest. Which is worse, for the most part.

Penny, yeah, it all seems up in the air as to what happens -- interviews with the producers seem to be hinting that they'll pitch a successor series if SMG doesn't decide to re-up.

Seven years is a really long time in the life of an actor to play the same role, even for a really well-written show. It must be hell to be a good actor and buried alive on something like, um, Seventh Heaven (or any long-running but insipid show whose name I can't think of right now).
