Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I was answering the specific question of why I wasn't a pacifist any more. As I believe members of this thread can remember, I opposed the war.

Hmm don't which of two posts this was in response too. The first long one on the spectrum between pacifisim and support for the war was in response to Kastos. The second on reasons for pacifism was just a slightly smart-assed (but accurate) expansion of your answer. Neither was intended to attribute any views to you other than the ones you hold. I'm sorry if the wording on either was such it could be taken that way.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I know what you mean, ita. It is also boobage that makes it almost impossible to get cleavage.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

You could well be right about the boobage, ita. I had pert near no boobage at all in my teens.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I swear, every time I actually wear something that manages to give me cleavage I go all Willow and keep stealing glances. (Damn things usually point kind of east and west.)

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Willow's a Sucker for Her Own Sitcom

Wait, they aired Forever Knight in Oz? When was this and where was I?

Leigh ... channel 9 aired it while it was being made and based on how old I perceive you to be, your Mum and Dad would've had you tucked up in beddy-byes b/c they screened it after midnight.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

There is a preternaturally high boobage I associate only with teenhood (thought not all teens, by a long shot), that doesn't seem to make it to the early 20s. Which is good, because it looks funny.

(looks down)

So, like long, coltish legs, this is another thing I managed to completely miss about teenhood? Feh. (I'm irrationally bitter about this.)

If I only had a brain...

I read an essay once pointing out that the ideal Playboy girl has a figure that you have, if at all, only at the cusp of puberty/womanhood: large, high breasts, small waist, long slender legs. (Nowadays, of course, you have it at the cusp of plastic surgery; it's pretty standard for Playmates to be in a small spread, spend the money on surgery, and then graduate to Playhood.)

Then again, there was an amazingly stacked woman at the play last night: high, big, unsupported breasts, slender waist, curvy tush. I was envious.

So, um, we're talking Barbie, right?

No wonder I never even tried for the Playmate look.

Totally. It's no coincidence that one of Hef's favorite models ever (and longtime mistress) was Barbi Benton.

eta: talking about the high boobage, not the coltish legs.

Heh. Nope, I never had this. But I've noticed it on my sister (not in the bad way, pervs), who, if asked, will happily bitch about my boobage and her lack thereof. So maybe it's a trade-off.
