Ta, Jim. Sounds unbelievably... expensive.

All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American
Discussion of episodes currently airing in Un-American locations (anything that's aired in Australia is fair game), as well as anything else the Un-Americans feel like talking about or we feel like asking them. Please use the show discussion threads for any current-season discussion.

Dammit, lost my post somehow...
Two. Episodes. To. Go. Can't believe it.
Thoughts on Touched anyone? I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet. Gut reaction ramblings...
I love pirate!Xander very much. Can I have one of my very own? Pleeeaaase? I'll take care of him ever so well.
I'm more comfortable with the events of last week now, what with Dawn feeling guilty and Kennedy showing she has an authority problem in general and stuff. Still don't quite buy it though.
I love the way Faith is being written and I LOVELOVELOVED the FE appearing as the Mayor. It was weird though, I was totally up for Faith/Wood last week but when it actually happened I was all: meh.
I don't care a pepper pot for Kennedy, or Kennedy/Willow. Willow annoyed me, which is really rare. I hated her euphemistic cutesy little speech to Spike about Buffy.
I don't exactly hate Buffy/Spike but I don't really like them together either, so their scenes annoyed me a bit. I cheered like a loon when Buffy went after Caleb with all those Hammer (i.e. You Can't Touch This) moves but I didn't like that Spike was the one who pep talked her into it.
Oooh, and the bomb made me gasp, even though the subterranean area may as well have been swarming with underpant gnomes weilding g-strings with TRAP!!! scrawled on them in purple paint.
Aaand I'm done.
SQQQUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Quick driveby to gush about the sheer awesomeness of the Angel final. So. Freaking. Good. I have goosebumps!!!
I'm posting out of excitement, but if my enthusiasm happens to taunt Un-Americans who haven't seen it yet, well, bonus!
Sounds unbelievably... expensive.
Cheapest model (40 hours of recording space) is US$249, plus either a $12.95 monthly fee or a lifetime fee of $299. You can also rate shows as "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" as you're watching them, and it'll use those ratings to figure out other things you'll like and either have a list of "suggestions" or automatically record them.
The nicest thing is that for shows you know you want to watch, you can tell it once and it'll record those shows every time they come on (it uses the phone line to check for updated listings at least once a week). So you don't end up, like me, sitting at work cursing yourself because you forgot to set it for the new Firefly (I wish) for the third week in a row.
Touched spoilers: I was totally up for Faith/Wood last week but when it actually happened I was all: meh.
Me too. 'course, that might have been because I spent the whole scene sulking because really? There is no way Faith would be having the type of sex which involves leaving on her bra unless it was in the back of some kind of vehicle. I don't care if she was in a hurry, there is no excuse. And yes, my interest in the matter is a purely academic concern for how out-of-character it seemed, why do you ask?
SQQQUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
I'd like to second the squealing. I am so Lilah's bitch, it's not even funny.
Isn't that funny, though? Two characters with so much chemistry (Faith in particular has a BBoC thing totally going on) and yet when it actually happens....eh. Kennedy just makes me want to kick something, but I liked the B/S interaction better than y'all did, I think. I like seeing them move on to a new stage in their relationship, where Buffy's able to accept support from him in a way I don't think she's ever really done before - and yet it doesn't in any way hark back to when they were sexually involved. That's my read on it anyway. And part of it's just relief at seeing Buffy let go of being wound so tight all the time - she makes me tired just watching her.
Leigh, many of the Ams found the bra unacceptable as well and for the same reasons. Sighhh.
Although she does look hot in it. IJS.
I think Touched sort of re-affirmed by love for Buffy as a character, because I felt, for one of the few times this season, the link between who she is now and the girl of seasons 1-4. My Spike hatred was kicked up a few notches though, but I've always loathed RRK's Spike, so that wasn't unexpected.
