To every idea a shelf...

Oh thanks Leigh! Couldn't have got that, having never seen Firefly. I feel better now, I thought I'd have to give back my Obsessive Buffy and Angel Watcher merit badge.

I'm glad the season was somewhat redeemed for you, Kassto. I can't waaaaiiiiiiitttttt.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Extremely dumb question: where does "Big Damn Evil, Sir" come from exactly?

Me!!! (More specifically, it was my first uttering when the casting news came out for the final arcs of both shows this season. One of my very, very rare half-clever statements.)

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

Yeah, well I still feel very bloody wobbly the morning after. Reality seems to have shifted under my feet. Didn't help that I stayed up till 1am reading whole lots of stuff about the end of Buffy on the net, and then couldn't sleep afterwards. There's this all dressed up and no place to go feeling about having a powerful yen for a TV show that's now over, feeling overwhelmed at how it ended as well as really pissed off at the way some of it played out. Confusion and sadness reign -- at least this is a place where I won't be made to feel like a complete loser with no life for reacting this way. I hope.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Angus... meant to add, since changing the power-board and I haven't had a problem with the monitor (which gets its power by plugging straight into a power point and not the back of the computer like my previous monitors), or the computer.

I can't even.

Kassto, that's about exactly how I reacted to the finale (in fact, I found the Buffistas as a result), and I don't think we're alone at all. I'm pretty positive this is at least one of the places that reaction fits perfectly.

Roguish Laird

jimi--yes, thanks, I will definitely try changing the powerboard!

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

JohnSweden, thanks muchly. The fellow feeling is warmly appreciated.

This may be a little corrupt, but my 4 and a half year old son is addicted to Buffy (though there are some episodes I won't let him watch). When I told him this morning I was sad about Buffy, he told me that what I needed to do was watch more Buffy videos and DDs (as he calls them). He has also just learnt how to use the stapler and is making me a ``Buffy magazine''. Sweet child.

Great line. Is there anything funner than riffing on pop culture quotes? Because if there is I haven't found it yet.

Can you clone him and send one to me? Because that is too damn cute.

ETA: Huh. I guess my new thing is asking questions spread over two sentences.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Too. Damn. Cute.

Bless.

`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

I just wish being a Buffy fan was as simple for me as it is for him. For me it involves yearning, confusion, irritation, gratitude, guilt. God, being a grown-up is hard work.
