All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American
Discussion of episodes currently airing in Un-American locations (anything that's aired in Australia is fair game), as well as anything else the Un-Americans feel like talking about or we feel like asking them. Please use the show discussion threads for any current-season discussion.

All the Grr Arrgh variations I can recall are 1) ``I need a hug'' in season 2 (was it Innocence or Becoming II?) 2) Christmas hat on his little head at the end of Amends, and 3) Sung ``Grr Arrgh'' on Once More with Feeling. Have I got them all?
The "I need a hug" was at the end of Becoming II. Also, at the end of Graduation Day II, the guy wore a mortar.
Without spoiling, I hope, yes, there is something to look forward to at the very end.
Ta muchly, Caroma.(And by the way, I did a little lurking here during the war arguments back around Feb/March and I agreed with everything you said. You seemed to be out there on your own a bit during that angst-ridden session, but as far as I was concerned, you were the only one making sense.)
As far as accents go, I have a Kiwi twang but am not unintelligible. But was horrified to find, in NYC in 1989, that a guy behind the counter in a bookshop could not understand a word I was saying. We are so used to most American accents via TV and movies, but Americans not so familiar with Kiwis. I guess we do some odd things with our vowels. Or maybe it was just that I was asking for a book by Ayn Rand. No, no, not for me -- it was for a whacko I was mistakenly trying to have a relationship with.
Gracias!
No, we don't hear a lot of Aussies 'round here in the flesh, although there's some on TV, but they're speaking Announcer Aussie, if you know what I mean. At first it seems like the friendly person in front of you is from some part of England that you're not familiar with, and then a word jumps out at you that tells you they're from Oz.
And then it turns out they're Kiwis and they're a little miffed but are so grateful when you apologize and thereby show that you know NZ is a whole different country. It's nice to be a seppo when all your tourists assume your total geographic illiteracy--so easy to appear smart!
Now, excuse me, I have to write to friend in New Mexico and have to find some overseas stamps.
Kassto, have you guys had Storyteller yet? Because there's a special Grrr...Argh at the end of that episode too.
Is there, Sue? My God, I didn't even notice. I shall have to go back and rewatch.
Harrumph. Maybe some time in the distant future, when I've calmed down, and the DVDs are out, and the writers have done a zillion interviews explaining to me why season 7 was so deep and meaningful, and my own powers of reasoning have collapsed,... maybe then I won't feel so bitter and robbed. I WANTED to like it. I would have bent over backwards.... GRRRR.
Sorry for being so negative. I know it is a real bore. I shall shut up now. Much better to have really low expectations...
He sings "We are as gods" as he crosses the screen instead of saying Grr. Argh.
Ahem.
t Angel fan-girly glee
Aw, yeah--that's what I'm talking about. I think I may need a cigarette or something. This season has been, imho, So. Fucking. Amazing and I yearn desperately for its release on dvd, money for food and other such petty concerns be damned. I shouldn't be able to love this show more than I already do, but...yeah. It's so nice when everything about a season falls into place, y'know?

Also, um--when did Connor get so hot? Was I just not paying attention? (I mean, I knew that fans had formed a line to lick the pretty boy ages ago, but he never properly twigged the hottie radar until this epsiode, and yes, it's possible I need to get my eyes checked.)
Which Angel ep did you just see, Leigh?
