I don't think it's spoily to say that thus far Buffy is on S3 form.
Damn skippy. There is fear that this is Going Out With A Bang.

I'm about to dive into NAFDA. Angel looks good, Firefly......we'll see.
Firefly started really slow. We started getting the burst of "My God, I LOVE this show!" in late October. I was completely indifferent for the first two or three episodes.
I agree with Betsy. The first couple of episodes left me cold, then, all of a sudden I fell in love.
Early adopter chiming in here. Which, of course, means I'm so hopelessly in love now that I'm scaring myself.
I'll third that opinion (that it started slow), though the only episode I didn't really like was the first one, "The Train Job."
I love love loved it from the beginning, but it must be admitted that a lot of that was resting on Kaylee's face. Now I love love love it for lots of different reasons.
Kaylee's face among them.
I didn't love the first one, but by the second I was getting hooked.
I was wary of the Firefly, because I'm NSM into westerny things. Didn't love ep 1, was interested by 2, in love by 3. I just watched ep 8, and I can't believe how quickly I've become attached to the characters and their universe. I've even adapted my New Buffy dance to express my bouncy delight.
(Sits beside RL on the Kaylee bench.)
The first episode is the weakest (and I enjoyed it), but after that it began to rock hard.
