It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

PMM, are you still bitter like I am about the Newsradio semi-diss?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn it.

Yeah, exactly. I'm sure she's a very nice lady. Who is only competent as a discriminating television viewer.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sometimes I like Joyce Millman. Sometimes I wonder if we are watching the same things.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Joyce Millman needs to stop, period.

Yes please. Because recently? She leaves me blinking, and saying rude things.

Still, without Joyce, we might not be here today, historical-critical-mass-wise. Because lots of us found Buffistas at TT through following the links from her Salon columns.

Angus, true, and she didn't used to leave me blinking nearly so much. As I say, it's much more in the past two years or so.

Deb, it's the whole power centre theory re: JM.

I blame the stinking thing for damned near everything I can't manage to pin on Julianne Moore.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, there was a time when I looked forward to a new Millman column on Buffyverse stuff. And even now, I have to give her credit for being one of the only 'name' critics out there who regularly brings up Jossy stuff.

I'm thinking I'll skip this latest bit, though.

Yes, I agree that her opinions about Buffy meshed less and less with mine over time. Still, I'll always be grateful to her for turning me on to Buffy in the first place, and also for seeing through some critically lauded shows that I hated.

(By "seeing through," I obviously mean nothing more than that she shared my dislike of them, and I can't actually remember what shows they were. I think the name of Sorkin might have been involved with one or two of them.)
