It's a remora, dimwit.

Oz isn't even in the US. (cue off-key rimshot) I think the other hemispheres tend to be about a season or half a season behind the US.

Er...no we're not, Zoe. You may be thinking of a couple of Australian posters who download eps, but the rest of us are even further behind than the UK, honest.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Oz (Australia, not the prison or the Werewolf or the magical Land) is even behind the UK, in Buffy as in most other aspects of civilisation.

Need I say more?

Sorry, did I say that aloud?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

To me it sounded more like one of those old hair pomades.

Wait, these aren't the same thing??

I basically have to take public transit to get to my job, because I wouldn't drive (or park) here to save my life. Which means I have to live near public transit, which adds a certain figure to my rent automatically.

The part that has consistently annoyed me about public transit systems -- rail especially -- is that there are no cross-edge lines. In the DC Metro, if you want to get from Alexandria, VA to Vienna, VA, you have to go all the way into DC and out again. Same -- more egregious because it's older/slower -- is going from Forest Hills (in Boston) to Quincy Center (directly south of Boston), because you have to go into the city center on one line, switch, and come all the way back out again. My friend and I realized that there wasn't any point in taking the T to meet at each other's houses; it added an hour each way!

It's very similar in Melbourne, Nutty. Everything's radial. I look at the London Underground map and drool, all those cross-connections. (Although I understand the Underground itself is shite these days.)
