A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I have a third nipple. It's very very tiny, but it's there. t /tmi

My favourite moment on West Wing was when Martin Sheen said, quite unmistakably, "Calvary" when the script clearly called for "Cavalry". Am I really the only one who notices these things?

Doesn't Xander do the same thing in Becoming Part 2?

Dude! I roomed with you and didn't notice. Does Liese know?

Have you ever gone as Scaramanga for Hallowe'en? Because that would be cool.

Anyone want to help a poor unUnamerican? I'm writing a story. If a hypothetical troop ship was going to Australia for friendly reasons, leaving, say, California, where would it land in Australia?

Anywhere it wanted?

Why is it coming to Australia and at what period in history?

If it was WWII, Brisbane Darwin or Sydney would be equally likely as far as I know.

Actually, it's a pre-the-post-apocalyptic meat of the story soon arrival, and it doesn't actually have to come from California, and it doesn't have soldiers on it.

Sorry, being cagy because if I talk about a story too much I kill it.

It's full of children.

Maybe we should attack the question from the other way around. What do you want to find in Australia when you get here?

I mean, seriously, all our major cities are port cities. Unless you have it arriving in Alice Springs (which would be like having it pull up at the dockside in Tulsa or something), you can just pick and choose.

But a ship coming from the US would be unlikely to land in Adelaide or Perth. It would probably be somewhere on the east coast, ie Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane (in descending order of likeliness, all else being equal).
