You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

And, ha!, with the third-drawer thing.

Stealing other people's lines. It's what I do.

Got to go, back later, and/or talk tomorrow, I hope.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They have a wonderful playground in the middle of downtown San Francisco. It's all foamy, don't-hurt-if-you-fall-on-it & it has fun, windy slides and sand for making messes. We took the niece and nephew there & had a ball.

Children's Playground in Golden Gate Park (10 minutes from my house) is the oldest public playground in the country. They've got see-saws and the merry-go-round things (as well as an actual Carousel). Emmett and I frequent something like six different playgrounds all walkable from my house.

Also, playground culture is alive and kicking at Emmett's school and aftercare. He plays a variation on the above mentioned Peg called Slaughterhouse.

Four-square was the big game when I was growing up. I once held serve against a line of 23 girls, which was considered an important moral victory in 3rd grade.

Fay, I surely hope you got Conversations With Dead People on tape. It's definitely a season highlight.

Is that the one we went to, Hec?

Yup. Burrell probably went to another one, though. Since Children's Playground isn't downtown. But there are a lot of playgrounds around the city.

Australians, I found out some stuff about the new Denton show, but was then sworn to secrecy.

It's going to be chatty/interview based, not a variety show like Money Or The Gun, as I understand it. And there's going to be a shooting of a pilot in Sydney on the 12th of March, for which tickets are being given away right now.

hip deep in pie

A question for the UKers: Someone just sent me a vacancy for a contract as an Assistant Archivist with the National Theatre Archives. I'm considering applying. But how good/crappy is 19,000 Pounds for a salary? I know the cost of living in London is insane, is that doable?

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

It's liveable, but not good. After tax that's about £1500 a month. You can get a room in a houseshare in an OK bit of London (I think) for £500 or so. Then you'll need £80 or so for a travelcard. Actually, it's a fairly good salary for a public sector job.
