And it was suggested as a thread title by an Unamerican, I'm pretty sure, if that helps, Zoe.

All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American
Discussion of episodes currently airing in Un-American locations (anything that's aired in Australia is fair game), as well as anything else the Un-Americans feel like talking about or we feel like asking them. Please use the show discussion threads for any current-season discussion.

My high horse is wobbling.
To be honest it's not my favourite thread title either, although I'm not offended by it as such. But maybe we should compensate by giving the next thread a title that's offensive to Americans.
I think (though I'd have to check) that it's my title. "UnAmerican Buffistas" certainly is. Frankly, I don't care how the colonials refer to us, though.
It may be a while before we need a new thread title- given that this thread's pretty slow moving for a Buffistas thread. But I agree this thread title isn't my favourite.
Frankly, I don't care how the colonials refer to us, though.
Hey! Colonial and UnAmerican here.
Careful how you wield that us.
I'm trying to come up with good alternatives. Having thrown out 'bloody colonials' and 'Nancy Tribe' as too specific or not specific enough, and trying not to be offensive to Americans, it's quite a task. Show quotes are virtually useless, too.
UnAmerican Buffistas: We Didn't Throw The Tea Away
UnAmerican Buffistas: We're Not The Ones With Funny Spelling
UnAmerican Buffistas: Why Do We Have To Wait So Long?
are the things I've come up with so far. Hum...
How about: Non-American Buffistas: We have words and myths.
It's the "Un-American" part you don't like, Zoe? Okay- I thought you objected to it in the context.
Um...
"Un-American" has resonance for some USAnians because of Senator Joe McCarthy's Un-American Activities Committee witchhunts of the 1950s, in which case it's almost Spartacus-like to be branded an Un-American. (cf. Angel's "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been...?")
