What sort of library indeed ...
I suddenly feel aware of all the unwritten crossover drabbles -- Forever Knight, Kindred: The Embraced, Wolf Lake -- there's so much, just within genre.
Wolf Lake. Oh yes. That should totally be written.
Wolf Lake -- because the show never did the concept justice.
The show's so scattered for me I can't even imagine the voices, but yeah -- I'd love to see a well executed piece like that.
And, oh, Nick Knight and Angel have so much to talk about, 100 words couldn't do them right.
Damn, erika - this is some great writing, I just wish I'd ever seen the damn show! kicks cat.
Meahwhile, another crossover not-quite-a-drabble - 200 words rather than 100.

"Angel investigations, we help the - Gah!"
Cordelia tried not to salivate.
"Good evening, ma'am. We spoke on the telephone?"
"Oh! Oh, you're the guy? I've always loved Canada," she announced, directing a dazzling smile at six foot something of lickable authority figure. "Maple is my favourite syrup."
The Mountie looked flattered.
"Great. Wonderful. Whatever. Look, lady, we were told you people knew about werewolves." Cordelia glanced reluctantly at the wiry blond guy at the Mountie's side. He seemed to have attended the Doyle school of menswear, and didn't look too enthusiastic about the way Cordelia was gazing at his partner.
"We certainly do. Oh! Oh, no - did you get bit? Who - ?"
"Him," said the Mountie, sadly, pointing down. Cordelia leaned over the desk, bemused.
"That isn't a werewolf, Mister - believe me, I should know."
"No, he's not a werewolf," agreed the Mountie. "I fear the appropriate word may be wereman. Ever since the creature savaged him, Diefenbaker has taken to turning into a large human male for the three nights a month." He glanced at the blond guy and blushed. "This is somewhat - inconvenient. I rather hoped you might be able to assist us?"
Bwah, Fay!
Aw, poor kitty. Did "Homicide" not cross the pond, Fay? In some ways, I can see why it wouldn't being almost always almost-cancelled here and all. And being quite emphatically about an American city and justice system. And I didn't find it till reruns anyway, cause it was probably on when "Friends" was on, or some shit.(Sometimes I find my younger self most embarrassing.) I'm gonna take it as a massive compliment that you care about the story without having seen it. Cause that show had everything(almost): murders, dark humor. a tormented bisexual trying to escape a difficult past, Andre Braugher, fans getting mad at the creator, and a fandom fight or two.
In point of fact I think we do have Homicide: LotS. And several other strings of initials also - and I know they're supposed to be good too, but I've never actually happened across them in my erratic viewing.
hangs head in shame.
Don't feel bad, Fay. It's taken me till the DVDs were released to see more than 10.(And it was on for like seven years.) Tiny devoted fandom, with very unpleasant things to say about the series creator.
