I have an eepc, and for some reason some of the function keys do not work (as well as the backspace key). Somehow I have turned the brightness all the way down, but I cannot turn it back up. The f6 key does not work.
Reading around, I think I can fix the brightness in the BIOS, ut I can't figure out how to get there, especially since my f2 key also seems not to be working. Anthing that you can suggest?
Anybody want to suggest a good free font for address labels on Save the Date cards? I don't really want to stoop as low as Lucida Calligraphy.
I ended up going with a variant of the font on our return address labels, so never mind.
I tried to get Meg to sign off on one called "First Grade Writing" but she rejected me. Spoilsport.
I guess Kidnapped was out too.

Can you try a different keyboard?
Just got a new laptop, with Windows 7. It's showing that it's connected to our wifi network, but Internet Explorer can't open any web pages. Help?
Does it (or another computer) work if you connect via an ethernet cable?
Can you ping sites? (Open a DOS window and type 'ping yahoo.com' without the quotes and hit return. If that doesn't work, try 'ping 69.147.114.224', which is an IP address for Yahoo.)
Um, how do you open a DOS window?
One way: Click 'Start', then 'Run' and type 'cmd' and hit enter. (I have not used Windows 7, so I'm not 100% sure this works.)
Also, can other computers connect via your WiFi? (It may be misconfigured.)
