Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I think what happened was that Joss gave Nathan and Gina short-term roles on Buffy and Angel because at the time he was still trying to find a home for Firefly, and this was a way of letting his actors make a living while "their" series was in limbo, and not letting them wander off to other jobs until the final word came.

Eh, I didn't read it as calling JW to account. He reuses actors he likes to work with, and it can cause cognitive dissonance sometimes. It can also cause squee, because a lot of his fans like a lot of the actors he likes to work with. Everybody wins, even though they might occasionally be confused.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I forgot to say:

Welcome Whedongeek! How did you find the Buffistas?

He originally wanted to work in comics, not be a rock star. He interned at DC and everything. He is a complete geek, bless him. And yes, I was very pleased with the first issue.

Yeah, I knew Gerard had a background in comics, which is cool. I just rewatched Life on the Murder Scene with some friends the other night, and in the section where he talks about the comic he's working on, he mentions a character bit that ended up in The Umbrella Academy (the guy whose head is transplanted onto the body of a gorilla). I love watching him dork out about his ideas. And it's fun reading UA and recognizing certain themes in his work (REVENGE!).

I didn't manage to make it to the signing, alas. I tried, but by the time I got there, the line was ridiculously long and they were out of wristbands anyway. Sad!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Are you in Los Angeles?

We've met. Several times now. Through ND and Kristin.

I'll just be over here being utterly unmemorable....

t /teasing

Unfortunately, I can't do Thursday, as I'll be knee deep in Halloween prep over at Universal.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yay!

Cool. Especially since I have the complete run of the color comics and only a partial run on the b/w.

You gotta love a series where the main villain has a head shaped like the Chrysler Building.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I have a question. Have any of y'all read Hellcity?

I want to, but I'm afeared.

Oh you're that Sean. Well in case you didn't notice, one time at Universal you totally ignored me . But it's OK because you were busy and anyway I'm totally over it now. We'll probably be playing Order of the Stick every third week for a while so maybe you can join us sometime after the Halloween craziness dies down. We usually play on Wednesday or Thursday.
