Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I clearly had a great source, because the most time-consuming part of my last storage shuffle was a huge amount of CBRs, but I managed to have no trail back to source. I don't know if it was Demonoid, or somewhere still extant.

I do remember trying to download all the Superman from ever, and it's the frustrating torrent methodology in that all the files exist, but none are complete, because I didn't wait the months it would have taken to complete that low-traffic transfer. Next time, delete those before trying to move the comic folder.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Kalshane, what's your source for stuff like that?

I just Googled the relevant information. Sadly, my go-to ahemming sources have all died off over the years, so I'm stuck with a search engine and a prayer these days. (Not that I ahem very much anymore, anyway.) EZTV tends to my go-to for TV stuff, though.

Yeah, as I watched more and more of YJ, I feel like they really did right by the character (although the show seems to indicate he lives in a big fancy house, which threw me). There are some differences (which is why I freaked out at the comment about the Scarab being Kord tech), but it really makes me feel like DC really loved that iteration of Blue Beetle, to the point of putting him in YJ and making him true to the comic.

Well, whoever is charge of DC Animation seems to like the Jaime Blue Beetle (since they also used him on Batman: The Brave and the Bold).

As for Young Justice, I'm sure a lot of that is on Greg Weisman. He's got a Q&A site (http://s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/) and on there he mentioned when they were creating the show, DC said "You can use these characters, but not these characters." Which is part of why we got the Team membership we did. Then, when they were prepping for Season 2, DC said "Okay, use whatever characters you want. Have fun."

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Has anyone been following recent issues of Captain Marvel? I've been reading my neighbor's copies, and will probably buy the trade when it comes out.

Marvel Captain Marvel or DC Captain Marvel? (Not that I'm reading either, at the moment.)

Marvel Captain Marvel. Well, Ms. Marvel, I guess, but as she's a freakin' Air Force Major, I'm not entirely sure what's appropriate. [link] I'm loving the historical women pilot story lines in recent issues.

I liked Ms. Marvel on Avengers: EMH, but I haven't read any of the comics with her in it.

Just read BB #16 and that's one of the most fun comic books I've read in awhile. (I believe Steph or somebody linked to the "porsche wish" page back in the day, because I remembered it, but it was still awesome.)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Say "I wish for a porche!" before it wears off!

That was the one with the dentist bit, right? And again, PACO FOREVER.

Yes. That whole bit was great.

Just finished the Reach arc. That was totally awesome.

"Hi. We haven't met. I'm Brenda."

"I'm Paco. And I will beat you with this stick until you get the #@!# off my planet."

That was my computer wallpaper at home and work for YEARS. I love Brenda and Paco that much.

Just finished the whole thing.

It definitely wasn't quite as good after the Reach Arc (It looks like they had a guest writer for a few issues afterward, and they didn't do the characters very well at all.) The new fulltime writer seemed to have a better idea of who the characters were supposed to be and the final few issues were pretty good.

"I'm Paco. And I will beat you with this stick until you get the #@!# off my planet."

That was great. I also liked the follow-up in a later issue with him asking Jaime if he needs to go get his "alien-beating stick".
