"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't think that particular character kissing Buffy would indicate a potential hookup. Just that that character has those feelings for Buffy.

I think my favorite line in the whole issue was "There is no problem so big or complicated that it can't be blown up."

I share a little of Plei's meta issues, so Buffy's dream about Xander made me go "gggng". I really REALLY hope that he isn't the one to give her the Kiss of Twu Wuv. Of course, I also don't want that to be Spike, either. Mostly because in my heart of hearts, I want him to turn evil again and get back together with Dru.

The thing I'm sure none of the rest of you really noticed (or cared about): oooh, full-page ad for The Umbrella Academy! Gosh, I hope it's good, and that I'm not going to be getting it just because it's written by Gerard Way. I'd like to think I'm not that fan-girly.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Jilli, I *totally* noticed it, and immediately made a mental note to ask Comic Book Guy to set one aside for me on Free Comic Book Day.

Bwah! Steph, I find that really funny, for some reason. When I made an "awwww!" noise at the ad, Pete rolled his eyes at me.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I do NOT read the letters in the back. Nope. Don't.

I think that Amy's boyfriend is Skinless Warren and that Xander will be the kisser. Which is all good with me. I also could only recognize Andrew from the dialog.

I have to read it again before I say anything of substance. I fly through these things in about five minutes. I want one that takes me 44 minutes to read.

Ha! You know what I said to DH?

Me: "You know what sucks about these comics?"
DH: "No. What sucks?"
Me: "They're so damned SHORT!"

Then there was a frustrated aarrgggghhhh. And maybe some sobbing.

My problem is how many of the Free Comic Book Day titles I want. My store is small, so they get a limited amount of each one, and I can't be greedy.

But, but, but -- there's going to be a Lynda Barry sampler, and a collection of Peanuts cartoons that were never re-printed, and a Greg Rucka title that looks really interesting....

Dang. I think I'll just have to give Comic Book Guy a list, and tell him that if they're left over after FCBD, to keep them for me.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I forgot to say how much I liked that Xander had an yellow PJs with little blue birds on them.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think there has to be a catch to what Amy's done, as in a kiss from someone who loves Buffy will permanently lock the spell rather than wake her or something similarly tragic. Why would she go on and on about the way to break a spell she traveled thousands of miles to cast otherwise? Also, why did all of the Slayers in the room just let her stand around yapping after the first few panels? I'm just saying, Bitch might be more inclined to be truthful if someone played "he loves me; he loves me not" with her extremeties...

Though I do appreciate that "You buried me under tons of rock when you turned Sunnydale into a crater!" is a much better rationale for revenge than "You kicked the magic crack habit and think you're so superior!"

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Those scare quotes were definitely appropriate.
